Հիլարի Քլինթոնը, որը փաստորեն իր համար ապահովել Է Դեմոկրատական կուսակցությունից ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահի թեկնածու առաջադրվելը, ամերիկացի ընտրողների շրջանում 12 տոկոսի Է հասցրել իր առավելությունը նախընտրական պայքարում գլխավոր մրցակցի՝ Դոնալդ Թրամփի նկատմամբ: Այդ մասին վկայում են The Washington Post թերթի եւ ABC հեռուստաընկերության հարցման հրապարակված տվյալները: ԱՄՆ-ի նախկին պետքա րտուղարին աջակցում Է բնակչության 51 տոկոսը, իսկ գործարարին՝ ընդամենը 39 տոկոսը:

Մինչդեռ տակավին մայիսին նրանց միջեւ տարբերությունը կազմում Էր ընդամենը 2 տոկոս՝ Թրամփի օգտին՝ 46 տոկոս՝ 44 տոկոսի դիմաց: Անցյալ տարվա աշնանը նրանց միջեւ տարբերությունը կազմում Էր մոտավորապես 3 տոկոս, բայց հօգուտ նախկին առաջին տիկնոջ:

Գործարարի ժողովրդականության նման անկման պատճառը հրատարակությունը համարում Է Թրամփի «հրահրիչ հռետորաբանությունը եւ վերաբերմունքն արտաքին քաղաքականության ու բիզնեսի նկատմամբ»: 

«Երեք ամերիկացիներից մոտավորապես երկուսը նշում Էին, որ Թրամփը հարմար չԷ երկիրը ղեկավարելու համար, անհանգստացած են նախագահի պաշտոնում նրա գտնվելու հնարավորությունից, նշում են, որ կանանց, փոքրամասնությունների եւ մուսուլմանների հասցեին նրա քննադատությունը ցույց Է տալիս նրա անարդարացի ու կանխակալ վերաբերմունքը»,-գրում Է թերթը, որը հեռուստաընկերության հետ միասին հարցումն անցկացրել Է հունիսի 20-ից մինչեւ 23-ը, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
