«Հրապարակ» թերթը գրում է. «Օրերս ուշագրավ միջադեպ է տեղի ունեցել ՀՀ վարչապետ Հովիկ Աբրահամյանի՝ Արարատի մարզ կատարած այցի ժամանակ: Վերին Արտաշատ գյուղում, ուր եւ եղել է վարչապետն ու լսել գյուղացիների դարդ ու ցավերը, նրան է մոտեցել գյուղի տարեց տղամարդկանցից մեկը՝ Մարտիրոս պապը, ու վարչապետին կրկին հիշեցրել ավանդների մասին: Բնակիչը դժգոհել է, թե «կոլխոզի տարիներին» ինքն ու իր կինն օր ու գիշեր աշխատելով՝ մեծ խնայողություններ են կուտակել ու, որպես ավանդ, ի պահ տվել խնայբանկին, սակայն տարիների աշխատանքը սովետի քանդվելուց հետո ջուրն է ընկել:

Գյուղի տարեց բնակիչը հարցրել է, թե ինչ է լինելու ավանդների հարցը: Վարչապետը հարցը համբերատար լսելուց հետո հորդորել է իր թիկնապահներից մեկին, թե «հայրիկին փող կտաք»: Ըստ մեր աղբյուրի՝ վարչապետի հեռանալուց հետո Մարտիրոս պապի գրպանում 100 հազար դրամ է հայտնվել:

Ի դեպ, վարչապետն իր այցի շրջանակներում գյուղացիներից հետաքրքրվել էր նաեւ ծիրանի բերքի իրացումից եւ գոհունակությամբ նշել, թե այդ առումով ամեն բան կարգին է, բերքի իրացման խնդիր չկա: Գյուղացիներից մեկը մեզ հետ զրույցում ասաց, թե «Աբրահամյանն աչքով տվեց, քանի որ հենց ոտքը քաշեց, նույն գիշեր ուժեղ քամին ծիրանի բերքի մեծ մասը գետնին թափեց: Աբրահամյան, ականջդ կանչի, դե արի ու լխկած ծիրանն իրացրու»,- նշեց սրտնեղած գյուղացին»:
