Հունիսի 28-ին կայացավ բասկետբոլի Հայաստանի հավաքականի առաջին պաշտոնական հանդիպումը Եվրոպայի փոքր երկրների առաջնությունում: Ազգային ընտրանու առաջին խաղն ավարտվեց հաղթանակով: ՀԱՕԿ լրատվականի հետ զրույցում բասկետբոլի Հայաստանի ֆեդերացիայի փոխնախագահ Արա Պողոսյանը խոսեց հավաքականի առաջին հանդիպման մասին և պատմեց, թե ինչպես հաջողվեց վերջապես ստեղծել ազգային ընտրանին և պայքարել բարձր արդյունքների համար:

-Շնորհավորում ենք առաջին հաղթանակի կապակցությամբ: Գո՞հ եք հավաքականի խաղից:

-Շնորհակալ եմ: Գիտեք, հեշտ չէ նոր կազմավորված հավաքականով այսպիսի լուրջ ստուգատեսին առանց հուզմունքի մոտենալը: Խաղից առաջ բոլորս լարված էինք, բայց ոչ թե պարտվելու մտավախությունից, այլ պատասխանատվությունից և հաղթանակի ձգտումից: Կարևոր էր Հայաստանի ընտրանու՝ պատմության մեջ առաջին պաշտոնական հանդիպումն հաղթական ավարտելը: Ինչ վերաբերում է խաղին՝ ես գոհ եմ թիմային աշխատանքից: Դանսթոնը իրեն հրաշալի դրսևորեց՝ իսկական պրոֆեսիանալի նման: Խաղակցվածությունը գնալով ուժեղանում է:

-Պարոն Պողոսյան, բասկետբոլի ազգային հավաքական ստեղծելու փորձեր բազմիցս են եղել, սակայն ապարդյուն: Այս անգամ ի՞նչն օգնեց այսպիսի մրցունակ հավաքական ստեղծելուն:

-Այո, մեր ֆեդերացիայի կողմից մի քանի անգամ փորձեր եղել են, սակայն միշտ մի բան խանգարել է, չի հերիքել: Նախագիծն այս անգամ հաջողությամբ պսակվեց, քանի որ բասկետբոլի Հայաստանի ֆեդերացիային միացավ Հայաստանի ազգային օլիմպիական կոմիտեն և անձամբ ՀԱՕԿ նախագահ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը երաշխավորեց, որ մեր աշխատանքները ջուրը չեն ընկնի: Կարծում եք հե՞շտ էր համաշխարհային մեծության աստղ Բրայան Դանսթոնին հավաքական հրավիրելը: Մեր նախագիծը կրկին կտապալվեր, եթե մեզ չաջակցեր ՀԱՕԿ նախագահը:

-Կարևոր խաղ ունենք Անդորրայի հավաքականի հետ: Ի՞նպիսինն են մեր շանսերն ամենատիտղոսակիր ընտրանու դեմ խաղում:

-Անդորրայի հավաքականում խաղում են Իսպանիայի լիգայում հանդես եկող մարզիկները: Նրանք միանշանակ ֆավորիտներ են: Սակայն մեր թիմը շատ խանդավառված է առաջին հաղթանակով, հավաքականի ստեղծմամբ և ամեն ինչ անելու են հայ երկրպագուներին ուրախացնելու համար: Այսքան աշխատանքներ են տարվել հենց Հայաստանի, հայերի և բասկետբոլի համար:
