ՀՀ ԱԺ փոխնախագահ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը հուլիսի 1-ին ընդունել է Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունում Հունաստանի Հանրապետության արտակարգ եւ լիազոր դեսպան Իոաննիս Տայիսին:

Ինչպես  տեղեկացրին ՀՀ ԱԺ հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, ԱԺ փոխնախագահը բարձր է գնահատել Հայաստանի եւ Հունաստանի ավանդական եղբայրական հարաբերությունները եւ փաստել, որ այդ կապերի զարգացման եւ սերտացման գործում նշանակալի ավանդ է ունեցել նաեւ դեսպան Իոաննիս Տայիսը: Զրուցակիցները փաստել են, որ երկու ժողովուրդներին միավորում են բազմաթիվ ընդհանրություններ եւ վերջին տարիներին սերտացել են հատկապես միջխորհրդարանական կապերը, ընդլայնվել է համագործակցության դա շտը:

Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը հայ-հունական հարաբերություններում շրջադարձային է գնահատել Հունաստանի խորհրդարանի կողմից Հայոց ցեղասպանության ժխտման համար պատասխանատվություն սահմանող օրինագծի ընդունումը, ինչպես նաեւ՝ Հայաստանի խորհրդարանի կողմից 2015 թվականի մարտի 24-ին ընդունված Օսմանյան Թուրքիայում հույների եւ ասորիների ցեղասպանությունը դատապարտող հայտարարությունը: ԱԺ փոխնախագահը կարեւորել է նաեւ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետության խորհրդարանի կողմից վերջերս ընդունված հայտարարությունը, որով նույնպես ճանաչվել եւ դատապարտվել է Պոնտոսի հո ւյների նկատմամբ Օսմանյան եւ Քեմալական Թուրքիայում իրականացված ցեղասպանությունը: Դեսպան Իոաննիս Տայիսը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել հայկական խորհրդարաններին միաձայն ընդունված հայտարարությունների եւ մայիսի 19-ը որպես Պոնտոսի հույների ցեղասպանության օր պաշտոնապես նշելու համար:

Հանդիպմանն անդրադարձ է եղել ԼՂ հակամարտության կարգավորման հարցին. ԱԺ փոխնախագահը գոհունակություն է հայտնել այս հարցում ԵԱՀԿ անդամ Հունաստանի հավասարակշիռ դիրքորոշման համար եւ ընդգծել, որ հայկական կողմը եղել եւ շարունակում է հավատարիմ մնալ իր դիրքորոշմանը՝ այն է՝ խնդիրը պետք է լուծել ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի շրջանակներում եւ խաղաղ ճանապարհով: Այս տեսակետը պաշտպանել է նաեւ դեսպան Իոաննիս Տայիսը եւ նշել, որ Հայաստանի եւ Ադրբեջանի նախագահների վերջին հանդիպումները հուսադրող են այդ առումով: Այս համատեքստում ԱԺ փոխնախագահը նշել է. «Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի ժողովուրդը պետք է ամբողջությամբ իրացնի ինքնորոշման իր իրավունքը: Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի ժողովրդի կողմից հանրաքվեի անցկացումը, այդ իրավունքի իրացումն անքննելի է, քանի որ աշխարհը գնում է այդ ճանապարհով: Արցախի ժողովուրդը սեփական ճակատագիրը հանրաքվեով տնօրինելու նույնքան իրավունք ունի, որքան ցանկացած այլ երկրի ժողովուրդ»,-նշել է ԱԺ փոխնախագահը:

Հանդիպման ընթացքում անդրադարձ է եղել ապրիլյան պատերազմին. այդ համատեքստում ԱԺ փոխնախագահն անդրադարձել է հույն պատգամավորների՝ Հայաստան եւ Արցախ կատարած այցերին` դրանք գնահատելով որպես բարեկամության եւ ժողովրդավարության սկզբունքներին հավատարմություն:

Քննարկվել են երկկողմ հարաբերություններին, հետագա համագործակցությանը, հայկական եւ հունական համայնքներին, նրանց խնդիրներին վերաբերող հարցեր:
