101 կգ կշռող Էնդի Լիքսը որոշել է նիհարել, երբ աշխատավայրում սկսել են իրեն «հսկա» անվանել: 1,8 մետր հասակով Լիքսի մարմնի համար իր քաշը եռակիորեն շատ էր:
Վերջին երեք տարիներին նա փորձել է նիհարել, բայց չի կարողացել: Լիքսն ինքն իրեն հարց է տվել, թե ինչու չի կարողանում նիհարել եւ վերջապես գտել է պատասխանը՝ ձանձրույթ: Ուստի սկսել է ոգևորությամբ տարբեր դիետաներ փոխել և 50 օրվա ընթացքում հասցրել է փորձել տասը:
Տղամարդը հերթականությամբ փորձել է դիեատները՝ սկսելով 5:2-ից, այնուհետեւ անցել է հատուկ K դիետային և այլն:
«Առաջին դիետայի դեպքում ես հինգ օրում 2,2 կգ-ով նիհարեցի: Երկրորդ դիետայի ժամանակ ես կորցրեցի ևս 2,2 կգ, իսկ երբ անցա հյութերով դիետային, ինձ համար իսկական մղձավանջ սկսվեց, որովհետեւ դրանք թարմ պետք է լինեին, իսկ պատրաստելն էր մի ամբողջ հավերժություն էր պահանջում»,- պատմել է Լիքսը:
Լիքսն ստիպված էր պահանջվող 3 կգ մրգերն ու բանջարեղեններն ամեն օր աշխատավայր տանել, սակայն նրա նրբանկատ պետը թույլ է տվել այդ շաբաթ տնից աշխատել: Այդ մի դիետայի ժամանակ էլ Լիքսը նիհարել է 1,8 կգ-ով: Վերջինս ամբողջական հացահատիկներից, շատ միրգ ու բանջարեղենից, մսից, ձկից ու մի թեթև էլ քաղցրից բաղկացած դիետան է հավանել: Հաջորդ դիետաներից յուրաքանչյուրն օգնել է նիհարել 0,4 կգ-ով:
Լիքսի խոսքով իրեն առաջին անգամ է հաջողվել այդքան երկար ժամանակով դիետա պահել, որի շնորհիվ էլ նա նիհարել է 11 կգ-ով, իսկ նրա կինն էլ այդ ամբողջ ընթացքում ստիպված է եղել համակերպվել նրա փոփոխական տրամադրությունների հետ: Լիքսի խոսքով նիհարել ցանկացող մարդիկ չպետք է նաև անընդհատ կշռվեն, որովհետև դա հոգեբանորեն խանգարում է:
