Ուսումնասիրությունները ցույց են տվել, որ այս 7 մթերքը շատ արդյունավետ են պայքարում քաղցկեղի դեմ: Դրանց շարքին են դասվում՝ քրքումը, կանաչ թեյը, սև շոկոլադը, լոլիկը, կարմիր գինին, հապալասն ու ազնվամորին:
