Երեկ՝ հուլիսի 4-ին, ողբերգական դեպք է տեղի ունեցել Երևանում: Ժամը 21:00-ի սահմաններում ոստիկանության Մալաթիա-Սեբաստիայի բաժին ահազանգ է ստացվել, որ Անդրանիկի փողոցի 89 շենքի բակում երիտասարդ աղջկա դի կա:
Ինչպես հայտնում է ֆոտոլրագրող Գագիկ Շամշյանը, նշված հասցե են ժամանել ոստիկանության Մալաթիա-Սեբաստիայի բաժնի օպերատիվ խումբը՝ բաժնի պետ Արթուր Զոհրաբյանի գլխավորությամբ: Ժամանել են նաև Հայաստանի քննչական կոմիտեի Երևանի քննչական վարչության Մալաթիա-Սեբաստիայի բաժնի քննչական խումբը:
Ոստիկաններն ու քննիչները պարզել են, որ մահացածը նույն շենքի 8-րդ հարկում բնակվող, 21-ամյա Ջուլիետա Կարապետյանն էր, ով, ըստ նախնական տեղեկությունների, ինքնասպանություն գործելով իրեն ցած է նետել:
Գ. Շամշյանի տեղեկություններով՝ Ջ. Կարապետյանը սովորում էր Խաչատուր Աբովյանի անվան պետական մանկավարժական համալսարանի բանասիրության ֆակուլտետում և վաղը պետք է դիպլոմ ստանար:
Կան տեղեկություններ նաև, որ պատճառը եղել է ԲՈՒՀ-ի դասախոսներից մեկի հետ ծագած ինչ-որ խնդիրները: Այդ տեղեկությունը քննչական բաժինը քննության ընթացքում ստուգելու է:
