Աբխազիայի նախագահը հայտնել է, որ չի հետաձգելու հանրաքվեն

Չնայած ընդդիմության պահանջներին, Աբխազիայում հանրաքվեն չի հետաձգվի, չորեքշաբթի հայտնել է Աբխազիայի նախագահ Ռաուլ Խաջիմբան, փոխանցում է «Ապսնիպրես» գործակալությունը:
«Ես մտադիր չեն հետաձգել հանրաքվեն: Հակառակ դեպքում ես ինքս այդպիսով կխախտեմ օրենքները»,- ասել է Խաջիմբան:
Հուլիսի 5-ին Սուխումում ընդդիմության հանրահավաքը վերածվել է զանգվածային անկարգությունների, ցուցարարները փորձել են գրոհով գրավել ՆԳՆ շենքը: Առողջապահության նախարարի տվյալներով, բողոքի ակցիայի ընթացքում տուժել է 19 մարդ: Ցուցարարները Աբխազիայի նախագահից պահանջել են հուլիսի 10-ից մինչեւ աշուն հետաձգել պետության ղեկավարի արտահերթ ընտրությունների մասին հանրաքվեի անցկացումը, նաեւ պաշտոնանկ անել ՆԳ նախարար Լեոնիդ Դզապշբային՝ երկրում քրեածին իրավիճակի վատացման պատճառով: Ընդդիմության կարծիքով Դզապշբան իբրեւ մտադիր էր նաեւ խոչընդոտել ՆԳՆ աշխատակիցների ազատ կամքի արտահայտմանը հանրաքվեի ժամանակ: Նախագահը բողոքի ակցիան անվանել է երկրում իրավիճակն ապակայունացնելու փորձ, բայց ստորագրել է դատախազական ստուգումների ժամանակ ՆԳՆ ղեկավարին պաշտոնից ժամանակավորապես հեռացնելու մասին հրամանը:
Մինչ այդ Աբխազիայի նախագահը հրաման էր ստորագրել հուլիսի 10-ին պետության ղեկավարի արտահերթ ընտրությունների մասին հանրաքվեի անցկացման մասին, որը ընդդիմությունն էր նախաձեռնել: Նրա խոսքով, որոշումը կայացվել է «ընդդիմության կողմից հրահրվող հասարակական լարվածությունը թոթափելու համար»:
