Հայաստանի Հանրապետության Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանն ընդունել է Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունում Հունաստանի Հանրապետության արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Իոաննիս Տայիսին, ով ավարտում է իր դիվանագիտական առաքելությունը մեր երկրում: Այս մասին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից:
Հանրապետության Նախագահը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել դեսպան Տայիսին՝ հայ-հունական ավանդական բարեկամական հարաբերությունների ամրապնդման գործում նրա ունեցած անձնական ներդրման համար, ինչի շնորհիվ, ըստ Նախագահի, միջպետական համագործակցությունն ընդլայնվել է երկկողմ հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող ամենատարբեր ոլորտներում: Սերժ Սարգսյանը նշել է, որ Հունաստանի դեսպանի շուրջ քառամյա գործունեության ընթացքում երկկողմ հարաբերություններում գրանցված առաջընթացը և այդ նպատակով Իոննիս Տայիսի ներդրած ջանքերը բարձր են գնահատվում թե՛ ՀՀ իշխանությունների, թե՛ ժողովրդի կողմից: Նախագահը հույս է հայտնել, որ մեր երկրում Հունաստանի հաջորդ դեսպանը նույն նվիրումով ու եռանդով կշարունակի զարգացնել երկու բարեկամ երկրների և ժողովուրդների միջև հարաբերությունները, որոնք դարերի պատմություն ունեն: Հանրապետության Նախագահն ընդգծել է, որ Հունաստանում ՀՀ նորանշանակ դեսպանին նույն ակնկալիքներով և հանձնարարականներով է գործուղել Աթենք:
Դեսպան Տայիսը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել ՀՀ Նախագահին՝ իր գործունեությանը տված բարձր գնահատականի, ջերմ խոսքերի և Հայաստանում պաշտոնավարման ամբողջ ժամանակահատվածում իրեն ցուցաբերված օժանդակության համար: Դեսպանը նշել է, որ անցած շուրջ չորս տարիներին Հայաստանում մշտապես շատ ջերմ վերաբերմունքի է արժանացել, որի համար անչափ երախտապարտ է և վստահ է, որ դա հայ և հույն ժողովուրդների փոխադարձ ջերմ վերաբերմունքի արտահայտությունն է: Իոաննիս Տայիսը վստահեցրել է, որ Հայաստանից մեկնելուց հետո էլ շարունակելու է մեր երկիրը և նրա հետ կապված ջերմ հիշողությունները պահել իր սրտում՝ մնալով Հայաստանի և հայ ժողովրդի բարեկամը:
