Լոնդոնում շատ տարօրինակ դեպք է գրանցվել: Նույն կլինիկա են դիմել երկու կանայք,ովքեր երբևէ տեսողության հետ խնդիր չեն ունեցել, բայց մի օր հանկարծակի ամբողջությամբ կուրացել են: Նրանցից մեկը 22 տարեկան էր, մյուսը՝ 44: Կանանց մոտ գրանցվել էր ժամանակավոր կուրություն: Նրանք կուրացել էին մոտ 15 րոպե:
Պատճառը շատ սարսափելի է:
Գիտնականներն ասում են, որ աչքի ժամանակավոր ոչ ֆունկցիոնալ աշխատանքը կարող է սմարթֆոններ օգտագործողներին ստիպել սխալմամբ մտածել, որ կորցրել են մեկ աչքի տեսողությունը:
«Տեսողության ժամանակավոր կորուստ կարող է լինել նրանց մոտ, ովքեր մթության մեջ և մի կողմի վրա պառկած կարդում են սմարթֆոնով: Երբ նրանք ավարտում են կարդալը և վեր կենում` մեկ այլ բանով զբաղվելու, կարող են հանկարծակի կորցնել տեսողությունը»,- ասում է Լոնդոնի Մուրֆիլդի հիվանդանոցի ակնաբույժ Գորդոն Պլանտը:
Բարեբախտաբար, սա ժամանակավոր բնույթ է կրում և տևում է ընդհամենը մի քանի րոպե ու չունի մշտական լինելու վտանգ:
Իրականում աչքն ուղղակի հարմարվում է մութ միջավայրին: Դա միևնույնն է, երբ ձեր աչքերը պղտորվում են շատ լուսավոր տեղից շատ մութ սենյակ տեղափոխվելիս:Եթե սմարթֆոններ օգտագործողները մթության մեջ կարդում են հեռախոսով, պառկած ձախ կողմի վրա, ապա բարձը փակում է ձախ աչքը և նրանք կարդում են միայն աջ աչքով: Ձախ աչքը սովորում է մթությանը, իսկ աջը, հակառակը, սովորում է լույսին:Երբ նրանք անջատում են հեռախոսը, արդեն վառ լույսին սովորած աչքով չեն կարողանում տեսնել մթության մեջ, քանի որ աչքին դեռ անհրաժեշտ է մի քանի րոպե` մթությանը հարմարվելու համար: Սակայն մթությանը հարմարված ձախ աչքը տեսնում է, այդ իսկ պատճառով շատերը մտածում են, որ իրենք կորցրել են մեկ աչքի տեսողությունը:
