«Ռուսաստանցի գործարար Սամվել Կարապետյանի ծննդյան օրը կառավարության միջանցքներում քննարկվող հիմնական իրադարձությունն էր երեկ։ Անգամ նիստի   թեթև օրակարգը՝ մոտ երկու տասնյակ հարցով, և Հովիկ Աբրահամյանի շտապողականությունը, այն, որ նիստը կարճ տևեց, շատերը հակված Էին բացատրել միլիարդատիրոջ 50-ամյակին մասնակցելու կառավարության անդամների ցանկությամբ։ Հյուրերի ցանկը, այնուամենայնիվ, գաղտնի Է պահվում։ Վարչապետի մասնակցության մասին կառավարության լրատվական վարչությունում ոչինչ չգիտեն։ Նախօրեին շրջանառվեց, թե գործարարի տարեդարձը տեղի է ունենալու Մոնակոյում, որը  հայտնի է շքեղ խաղատների ցանցով, և որ այնտեղ արդեն մեկնել է նաև տրանսպորտի նախարար Գագիկ Բեգլարյանը, բայց  վերադարձել Է՝ Քոչարյանի մոր հոգեհանգստին մասնակցելու համար։

 Տրանսպորտի նախարարը երեկ, նույնիսկ առանց հարց տալու, հերքեց այս լուրը, ասելով, որ ինքը, ահա, Հայաստանում է։ «Ես Մոնակոյում եմ եղել 12 տարի առաջ։ Մոնակո չեմ եղել ընդհանրապես, ու ինչ որ գրում են, որ ես գնացի, եկա, նորից գնում եմ, հայտարարություն եմ անում, որ գրողը մարդկանց ներկայացնում է սուտ տեղեկություն։ Սամվել Կարապետյանի ծննդյան արարողությանը մասնակցելու անպայման գնալու եմ, բայց դա Մոնակոյում չի լինելու»։ Թե որտեղ է լինելու, Բեգլարյանը չասաց»,–գրում է թերթը։
