«The Economist Intelligence Unit»-ը հրապարակել է բնակության համար աշխարհի լավագույն քաղաքների ցանկը։ Ցանկը կազմվել է 30 տարբեր գործոնների հիման վրա, այդ թվում հաշվի են առնվել անվտանգությունը, առողջապահության մակարդակը, կրթական ռեսուրսները, ենթակառուցվածքներն ու շրջակա միջավայրը։ Հետազոտությունը ցույց է տվել, որ 2010թ․-ից ի վեր քաղաքներում բնակության համար կյանքի որակի ընդհանուր մակարդակն անկում է ապրել է 1 տոկոսով։ 2.2 տոկոս անկում է գրանցվել անվտանգության ու կայունության առումով։ Անկման պատճառ են հանդիսացել ինչպես Սիրիայում, Ուկրաինայում, Լիբիայում շարունակվող կոնֆլիկտները, այնպես էլ Ֆրանսիայում ու Թունիսում ահաբեկչական հարձակումներն ու Ամերիկայում բռնկված քաղաքացիական անկարգությունները։

1 Մելբուրն, Ավստրալիա

2 Վիեննա, Ավստրիա

Vienna is only 0.1 point short comparing to Melbourne in the index. Scoring 97.4 out of 100 -- the musical city with glamorous palaces and architecture came second again this year.

The beautiful alleyways in the Old City of Tripoli didnt help conflict-hit Libyas capital to have a better rating in the survey. With 40 points out of 100, Tripoli dropped from 132 in 2014 survey to the fifth least livable city in 2015.

137 Լագոս, Նիգերիա

Lagos is Nigerias most populous city as well as its commercial capital. But overpopulation contributed to it being the fourth least livable city in 2015.

138 Պորտ Մորսբի, Պապուա Նոր Գվինեա

The capital city of Papua New Guinea ranked 138 in the list, thanks largely to a high crime rate and an underdeveloped infrastructure. Hanuabada, pictured, is a stilt village sitting on the outskirts of Port Moresby.

In a government report in 2011, traffic in Dhaka stood still for more than seven hours one day. Probably one of the reasons why the Bangladeshi capital is the second least livable city in the world.
