Կորեայի Հանրապետությունը զորքերը բարձր պատրաստության վիճակի Է բերել ԿԺԴՀ-ի հետ սահմանում տեղի ունեցած միջադեպից հետո: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հաղորդել Է «Ռյոնհապ» գործակալությունը:
Հարավկորեացի զինվորականներն օգոստոսի 20-ին պատասխան կրակ են բացել Հյուսիսային Կորեայի տարածքի ուղղությամբ: Ինչպես հաղորդել Է Կորեայի Հանրապետության ազգային պաշտպանության նախարարությունը, հրետանին արձակել տասնյակ 155-միլիմետրանոց արկեր Է արձակել ԿԺԴՀ-ի տարածքի ուղղությամբ:
ԿՀ-ի ազգային պաշտպանության նախարարության աղբյուրը ՏԱՍՍ-ին հայտնել Է, որ Սեուլը պատասխան կրակով ոչնչացրել Է ԿԺԴՀ-ի հրետանու դիրքերը: «Ըստ մեր տվյալների, պատասխան հարվածները հաջողությամբ խոցել են հյուսիսկորեական դիրքերը»,-ընդգծել Է նա:
Աղբյուրը հայտնել Է նաեւ, որ ԿԺԴՀ-ի բանակի ստորաբաժանումներն ամբողջ Ապառազմականացված գոտու երկայնքով ոտքի են հանվել տանգնապի ազդանշանով:
Հարավային Կորեայի իշխանությունները վտանգավոր շրջանից բնակչության տարհանում են իրականացնում:
Օգոստոսի 20-ի առավոտյան տեղեկատվություն Էր հայտնվել այն մասին, որ ԿԺԴՀ-ի բանակը հարավկորեական դիրքերի վրա կրակ Է բացել Ապառազմականացված գոտու շրջանում: Ավելի ուշ տեղեկատվություն Էր ստացվել, որ Հյուսիսային Կորեան գնդակոծել Է այն շրջանը, որտեղ տեղակայված են ԿԺԴՀ քարոզչություն հեռարձակող բարձրախոսներ:
