Էմի Ուայնհաուսի նախկին ամուսինը շոկային հայտարարություն է արել: Նա պնդում է, որ Էմին (մահացել է 2011 թվականի հուլիսի 23-ին՝ 27 տարեկանում) իր մահից 2 ամսի առաջ փորձել է ինքնասպանություն գործել:

Երգչուհու նախկին ամուսին Բլեյք Ֆիլդեր-Սիվիլը պատմում է, որ Էմին զանգահարել էր իրեն՝ հիշեցնելու, որ շուտով նրանց ամուսնության տարեդարձն է լինելու՝ չնայած այն փաստին, որ նրանք բաժանված էին, և լուրեր էին պտտվում, որ Էմին նշանադրված է Ռեգ Թրավիսի հետ, իսկ Բլեյքը և իր ընկերուհին երեխայի էին սպասում և հենց այդ օրը ծնվելու էր նրանց երեխան: Բլեյքն ասում է, որ չի կարող Էմիի հետ խոսել, քանի որ իր երեխան պետք է շուտով ծնվի:
