Եվրամիությունից դուրս գալուց հետո Մեծ Բրիտանիայի հետ հարաբերությունները կփոխվեն: Ինչպես հաղորդում է«Արմենպրես»-ը` հղում կատարելով «ՌԻԱ Նովոստի»-ին, այս մասին Բրյուսելում լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանը հայտարարել է Գերմանիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Ֆրանկ-Վալտեր Շտայնմայերը:
«Բեծ Բրիտանիայի ու Եվրամիության հարաբերությունն այլ կլինեն, ինչպես այն պետությունների հետ, որոնք այսուհետ Եվրամիության անդամ չեն: Չի կարող լինել այնպես, որ Մեծ Բրիտանիան նշանակալի մասով պահում է իր իրավունքները, բայց չի կիսում պարտականությունները»,-ասել է Գերմանիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարարը:
Նա հավելել է, որ Մեծ Բրիտանիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Բորիս Ջոնսոնը հայտարարել է որ Մեծ Բրիտանիան չի դադարել մնալ Եվրոպայի մաս: Բորիս Ջոնսոնը նաև նշել է, որ կշարունակի մասնակցություն ունենալ Սիրիայի, Լիբիայի և այլ կոնֆլիկտների կարգավորման գործում:
