Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ Գարեգին Բ Ամենայն հայոց կաթողիկոսը` ավազանի անունով Կտրիճ Ներսիսյան, օգոստոսի 21-ին նշում է ծննդյան  տարեդարձը: Նա ծնվել է 1951 թվականին Արմավիրի մարզի Էջմիածնի շրջանի Ոսկեհատ գյուղում։ Նախնական կրթությունն ստացել է Ոսկեհատ գյուղում։ 1965թ. ընդունվել է Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնի Գևորգյան հոգևոր ճեմարան։ 1970թ. դեկտեմբերի 25-ին ձեռնադրվել է սարկավագ։ 1971թ. գերազա նց առաջադիմությամբ ավարտելով Հոգևոր ճեմարանը՝ նշանակվել է տեսչի օգնական՝ միաժամանակ ճեմարանում դասավանդելով «Նոր Կտակարան»։ 1972թ-ին, ձեռամբ Գերաշնորհ Տ. Տիրան արքեպիսկոպոս Ներսոյանի, ձեռնադրվել է կուսակրոն քահանա՝ վերանվանվելով Գարեգին աբեղա։ 1972թ. ուսումը շարունակել է Վիեննայի համալսարանի Աստվածաբանական ֆակուլտետում։ 1975թ. նշանակվել է Գերմանիայի հայ համայնքի հոգևոր հովիվ ու շարունակել է աստվածաբանական ուսումը Բոննի համալսարանում։ 1979թ. ուսանել է Զագորսկիում՝ Ռուս ուղղափառ եկեղեցու հոգևոր ակադեմիայի ասպիրանտուրայում։

1980թ. նշանակվել է Արարատյան Հայրապետական թեմի Առաջնորդական փոխանորդի օգնական, 1983թ. ապրիլին՝ Առաջնորդական փոխանորդ։ Նույն տարվա հոկտեմբերին ձեռնադրվել է եպիսկոպոս, իսկ 1992թ. ստացել արքության պատիվ և տիտղոս։ 1989թ. Արարատյան Հայրապետական թեմի հովանու ներքո Տ. Գարեգին արքեպիսկոպոս Ներսիսյանը հիմնել է Սևանի Վազգենյան դպրանոցը։
1992թ. նրա ջանքերի շնորհիվ մայրաքաղաքում գտնվող նախկին պիոներ-պալատներից երեքը վերակազմավորվել են իբրև Հայորդյաց տներ, որտեղ հազարավոր երեխաներ ստանում են հոգևոր ու գեղագիտական կրթություն։
1990. Արարատյան Հայր ապետական թեմում հիմնել է Քրիստոնեական դաստիարակության կենտրոնը, որը համակարգում է Եկեղեցու կողմից թեմի տարածքում իրականացվող քրիստոնեական դաստիարակությունը՝ թվով 56 հանրակրթական դպրոցներում։

1990թ. Նորին Սրբությունը Գերագույն հոգևոր խորհրդի անդամ է։ 1995թ. կաթողիկոսական ընտրության ժամանակ Տ. Գարեգին արքեպիսկոպոս Ներսիսյանը հավանական թեկնածուներից մեկն էր։ Ընտրության երրորդ փուլում նա հանեց իր թեկնածությունը՝ հօգուտ Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիո Գարեգին Ա կաթողիկոսի։ 1998թ.Գարեգին Ա կաթողիկոսի կողմից նշանակվել է Կաթողիկոսական ընդհանուր փոխանորդ։ 1999թ. հոկտեմբերի 27-ին Ազգային-եկեղեցական սրբագումար ժողովում Տ. Գարեգին արքեպիսկոպոս Ներսիսյանն ընտրվել է Ծայրագույն ծատրիարք և Կաթողիկոս Ամենայն հայոց՝ նոյեմբերի 4-ին ստանալով Կաթողիկոսական ձեռնադրություն և օծում։
