Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը հուլիսի 21-ին ընդունել է ԱՄՆ Կոնգրեսի ներկայացուցիչների պալատի անդամ Ջիմ Կոստային: Հանրապետության Նախագահը ողջունել է հյուրին և մեծապես կարևորել կոնգրեսական Կոստայի այցելությունը Հայաստան՝ ընդգծելով, որ հայ-ամերիկյան բարեկամական հարաբերություննեի ամրապնդման գործում ուրույն դերակատարում է վերապահված միջխորհրդարանական կապերին, որոնք այսօր գտնվում են բարձր մակարդակի վրա:
Ինչպես «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, զրուցակիցներն անդրադարձել են հայ-ամերիկյան հարաբերությունների օրակարգին, այդ թվում՝ տնտեսական համագործակցության զարգացման ուղղությամբ գործադրվող ջանքերին և համագործակցության զարգացման հեռանկարին, խոսել ապագային միտված հարցերի մասին, նաև մտքեր փոխանակել տարածաշրջանի երկրների հետ Հայաստանի հարաբերությունների, ԼՂ հիմնախնդրի կարգավորման բանակցային գործընթաց ի շուրջ:
