Զեկույց այն թուրքերի մասին, ովքեր 1915թ.-ին օգնության ձեռք մեկնեցին հայերին

Ռաուլ Վալենբերգի միջազգային հիմնադրամը և Քլարկի համալսարանի Հոլոքոստի և ցեղասպանության ուսումնասիրության Սթրասլեր կենտրոնի Գալուստեան/Մուգար ամբիոնը պրոֆեսոր Թաներ Աքչամի հետ նախաձեռնել են մի մեծ հետազոտություն: Այդ ընդարձակ հետազոտության նպատակն այն թուրքերի և քրդերի մասին տեղեկություններ հավաքելն է, ովքեր օգնության ձեռ ք են մեկնել Հայոց ցեղասպանությունից տուժածներին:
Ռաուլ Վալենբերգի միջազգային հիմնադրամի հիմնական առաքելությունն է բացահայտել փրկության և համերաշխության մասին չպատմված պատմությունները: «Մուսուլման փրկիչների հարցը, ովքեր ամեն ջանք գործադրել են 20-րդ դարի սկզբում հայերին փրկելու համար, չուսումնասիրված ասպարեզ է, որ դեռ պետք է բացահայտվի»,-նշվում է հիմնադրամի կայքում տեղադրված զեկույցի նախաբանում:
«Մեզ համար մեծ պատիվ է մեր ուժերը միավորել աշխարհահռչակ թուրք պատմաբան և սոցիոլոգ Թաներ Աքչամի հետ, ով ջանք չի խնայել' փորձելով իրար համապատասխանեցնել հայերի և թուրքերի պատմածները, ինչպես նաև Քլարկի համալսարանի Հոլոքոստի և ցեղասպանության Սթրասլեր կենտրոնի նրա ամբիոնի հետ:
Սա յուրատեսակ փորձ է' գտնելու և մեծարելու այն բազմաթիվ թուրքերին և քրդերին, ովքեր օգնության ձեռք են մեկնել իրենց հայ հարևաններին մարդկության ամենամութ ժամանակաշրջաններից մեկում: Վալենբերգի հիմնադրամը նույնն անում է Հոլոքոստի հետ կապված: Չարիքի վրա կենտրոնանալու փոխարեն, մեր ՀԿ-ն ձգտում է ընդգծել այն կանանց և տղամարդկանց համերաշխության ոգին, ովքեր հաճախ վտանգի են ենթարկել իրենց սեփական կյանքը' մյուսներին փրկելու համար: Սա մեր պարտքն է այդ փրկիչների առջև, և ամենից առաջ մեր պարտավորությունը երիտասարդ սեր նդի առջև, որը պետք է տեղյակ լինի այս օրինակների մասին:
Այս առնչությամբ իրականացված հետազոտությունը մանրակրկիտ ձևով և ջանասիրաբար իրականացվել է մահմեդական (թուրքական և քրդական) նահանգներում, որտեղ տեղի են ունեցել ամենաշատ սպանությունները, և որտեղ պատմությունների մեծ մասը սերնդեսերունդ են փոխանցվել բանավոր կերպով:
Ինչպես խոստացել էինք, ուսումնասիրությունը հիմա արդեն հրատարակված և ներկայացված է հանրության դատին, որպեսզի մասնագետները և հասարակ ընթերցողները կարողանան ծանոթանալ դրան և իրենց կարծիքը հայտնել:
