Ազատ Արթուրի Ասոյան (1994 թ․ հուլիսի 26, Երևան-2014 թ․ հուլիսի 31, ադրբեջանա – արցախյան հակամարտ ուժերի շփման գիծ), ՀՀ զինված ուժերի շարքային զինծառայող, ով զոհվել է Արցախի Հանրապետության առաջնագծում, ադրբեջանական կողմի դիվերսիոն խումբը հետ մղելիս։

 

Հետմահու պարգևատրվել է ՀՀ Մարտական ծառայության մեդալով։

Ազատ Ասոյանը Երևանի պետական համալսարանի Իրավաբանական ֆակուլտետի ուսանող էր, զորացրվելուց հետո պատրաստվում էր շարունակել ուսումը։ Նրա զորացրվելուն մնացել էր 10 օր։

Ազատ Ասոյանը հուլիսի 31-ին իր մարտական ընկերների հետ ԼՂՀ հյուսիսային հատվածում հակառակորդի կողմից ձեռնարկված դիվերսիոն գործողությունը հետ է մղել, որի արդյունքում զոհվել է հերոսական մահով, իսկ հակառակորդը կրել է բազմաթիվ կորուստներ և հետ շպրտվել ելման դիրքեր։ Ասոյանի հետ միասին դիվերսիոն գործողությունը հետ մղելիս զոհվել է նաև նրա ծառայակից ընկեր Արարատ Վաչիկի Խանոյանը։

2014 թ. օգոստոսի 2-ին զինվորական կարգով Ազատ Ասոյանին հողին հանձնեցին Եռաբլուր զինվորական պանթեոնում։ Զինվորի հուղարկավորության արարողությանը ներկա էին տարբեր քաղաքական ուժերի ներկայացուցիչներ, ՀՀ պաշտպանության փոխնախարար Դավիթ Տոնոյանը։ Իսկ ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Սեյրան Օհանյանը և ՀՀ վարչապետ Հովիկ Աբրահամյանը վերջին հրաժեշտը Ազատ Ասոյանին տվել են զինծառայողի հայրական տանը։

ՀՀ Նախագահի կողմից հետմահու պարգևատրվել է Մարտական ծառայության մեդալով` «Հայրենիքի սահմանների պաշտպանության գործում ցուցաբերած անձնական խիզախության և նվիրումի, կյանքին սպառնացող վտանգի պայմաններում ծառայողական պարտքը անձնազոհաբար կատարելու համար»։

Ազատ Ասոյանը մասնակցել է 2009 թվականին կայացած Հայաստանի ձյուդոյի պատանեկան առաջնությանը, որի արդյունքում դարձել է 81 կգ քաշային խմբում Հայաստանի ձյուդոյի չեմպիոն:
