Գարեջրի սիրահարները լավ գիտեն, որ իրենց նախընտրած խմիչքը վայելելուց հետո, անպայման զուգարան գնալու եւ «դատարկվելու» անհրաժեշտություն է առաջանում։ Բայց այդ նույն գարեջրասերները թող իմանան, որ շատ շուտով հանրավոր է հակառակ պրոցեսը կատարվի։
Բելգիական Գենտի համալսարանի գիտնականները ստեղծել են հատուկ սարք, որով մեզից կարելի է գարեջուր ստանալ։ Ավելին, սարքն աշխատում է արեւի էներգիայով։
«Սարքի պարզ գործընթացի եւ արեւի էներգիայի միջոցով մեզից վերականգնվում է ջուրը»,- բացատրում է դոկտոր Սեբաստիան Դերեսը։
Նրա խոսքով՝ մեզով լի բաքի մեջ արեւի էներգիայի միջոցով մեզը տաքացվում է։ Դրանից հետո հեղուկն անցնում է հատուկ մեմբրանի միջով, ինչն էլ առանձնացնում է ինչպես ջուրը, այնպես էլ օգտակար նյութերը (կալիում, ազոտ եւ ֆոսֆոր)։
Գիտնականները, որոնց կարգախոսն է #peeforscience (մեզը՝ հանուն գիտության), արդեն փորձարկել են իրենց նոր սարքը վերջերս Գենտում կայացած երաժշտական փառատոնի ժամանակ։ 10-օրյա միջոցառումից հետո 1000լ. ջուր է ստացվել, որը բելգիացիները մտադիր են օգտագործել երկրի տնտեսական ամենակարեւոր ճյուղերից մեկում՝ գարեջրի արտադրության մեջ։
Ի դեպ, գիտնականները կարծում են, որ սարքը օգտակար կլինի նաեւ գյուղաքաղաքային համայնքների համար, որտեղ խմելու ջրի խնդիր կա։
