Քիչ առաջ Վարուժան Ավետիսյանը հայտնեց, որ ոտքից վիրավորել են Արայիկ Խանդոյանին (Միայնակ գայլը): Թե ինչ վնասվածք է ստացել վերջինս դժվարացավ ասել՝ նշելով, որ դա կպարզի վերջինս մեզ հետ զրույցում նշեց, որ եթե այդպես շարունակվի իրենք նույնպես կդիմեն զենքի միջոցով ինքնապաշտպանության: Մենք չենք ուզում արյունահեղություն, մենք ահաբեկիչներ չենք:«Արայիկ Խանդոյանը մոտեցավ պարզելու, թե ինչ են նետում անօդաչու թռչող սարքից՝ դա արդյո՞ք ռումբ է . թե ոչ, այդ պահին դիպուկահարից արձակված կրակոցից Խանդոյանը ոտքից վիրավորվեց»:

Վարուժան Ավետիսյանը չմանրամասնեց, արդյո՞ք այնտեղ գտնվող բժիշկները կարող են օգնել Խանդոյանին, թե ոչ՝ ընդգծելով, որ ժամանակը ցույց կտա::
