«Ժողովուրդ» թերթը գրում է. «Երեկ Սերժ Սարգսյանը կրկին խոսեց եւ այլեւս ակնհայտ դարձավ, որ նա այդպես էլ չի ընկալել, թե ինչու են մարդիկ զինված ապստամբություն սկսել մեր երկրում, որքան էլ որ զենքով քայլ անելը դատապարտելի լինի: Ինչպես հայտնի է՝ ՀՀ ոստիկանության պարեկապահակային ծառայության գնդի վրա հուլիսի 17-ին տեղի ունեցած հարձակումից հետո Սերժ Սարգսյանը «հայտնվեց» հինգ օր անց՝ հուլիսի 22-ին: Ուժայինների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ նա այսպիսի միտք էր արտահայտել. «Մինչ մեր հերթական խորհրդակցությունը սկսելը, մեկ անգամ եւս փաստենք, որ մեր երկիրն այս օրերին ապրում է դժվարին եւ պատասխանատու պահեր: Պատճառներին, իհարկե, այս պահին չեմ անդրադառնալու: Հիմա դրա ժամանակը չէ: Կասեմ միայն, որ բոլորս պետք է սրանից դասեր քաղենք»:
Թվում էր, նա սկսել է խորհել այն մասին, թե ինչու է հայ հանրության մեծամասնությունն իրենից ու իր ղեկավարած իշխանություններից պահանջում հեռանալ: Հիշեցնենք, որ նա առաջին անգամ խոսեց հուլիսի 20-ին Խորենացու փողոցում տեղի ունեցած բախումներից երկու օր անց, որոնց արդյունքում 51 մարդ էր տուժել: Սակայն Սարգսյանի խոսքից 8 օր անց, ամենեւին դասեր չքաղելով իրավիճակից, նոր բախում եղավ՝ հուլիսի 29-ին, առավել արյունալի, այդ օրը քրեական տարրերը ոստիկանների ուղեկցությամբ թիրախավորված հարձակվում էին լրագրողների վրա: Արդյունքում 73 մարդ տուժեց:
Եվ, ահա, երեկ Սերժ Սարգսյանը հայտարարեց, թե «Ես նաեւ ներողություն եմ խնդրում մեր լրագրողներից հուլիսի 29-ի լույս 30-ի գիշերվա դեպքերի համար. սա մեր ամենաէական բացթողումն էր այս օրերի ընթացքում: Բոլոր հետեւություններն, անշուշտ, արվելու են: Ձեր ներողամտությունը հայցելով՝ միայն լրագրողներին, բայց ոչ իրավապահներին, խնդրում եմ մոռանալ այդ դեպքերի մասին…»: Լրագրողներն, իհարկե, կարող են շատ բան ներել քրիստոնեաբար, բայց իրականում մեր երկրում կա անարդարության լճացած մթնոլորտ: Նախորդ տարի ամռանն էլ Բաղրամյան պողոտայում մի խումբ լրագրողներ տուժեցին, սակայն ՀՀ ՀՔԾ-ն մինչեւ հիմա քննում է գործը: Ինչքա՞ն ներենք»:
