ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարի տեղակալ Շավարշ Քոչարյանը չի կարծում, որ Ռուսաստանի Լիբերալ-դեմոկրատական կուսակցության առաջնորդ Վլադիմիր Ժիրինովսկու անհեթեթ հայտարարությունը պահանջում է բազմաթիվ պաշտոնյաների արձագանք:  Փոխարտգործնախարարը հիշեցնում է, որ Ժիրինովսկուն արձագան քել էր Ռուսաստանում ՀՀ արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Օլեգ Եսայանը:

«Ես չեմ կարծում, որ այդ անհեթեթ հայտարարությունը պահանջում է բազմաթիվ պաշտոնյաների արձագանք, այդքան չարժևորենք, բավական է այն պատասխանը, որը տվել է դեսպանը Ռուսաստանում: Ավելին արձագանքելը կնշանակեր այդ խոսքերին ծանրակշռություն հաղորդել»,-ասաց Քոչարյանը՝ ավելացնելով, որ իր անձնական վերաբերմունքը նույնն է, ինչ ՀՀ յուրաքանչյուր քաղաքացունը: Հարցին՝ անհրաժեշտ համարո՞ւմ է արդյոք, որ արգելք դրվի Ժիրինովսկու՝ Հայաստան այցելության վրա, Շավարշ Քոչարյանը նշեց, որ չի կարծում, թե պետք է այդքան արժեք տալ այդ անհեթեթ հայտարարությանը:

ՌԴ լիբերալ-դեմոկրատական կուսակցության առաջնորդ Վլադիմիր Ժիրինովսկին սենսացիոն հարցազրույց է տվել ռուսական հեռուստաալիքին, որի ժամանակ նշել է՝ «Թքած Հայաստանի վրա: Ո՞ւմ է պետք Հայաստանը: Այնտեղ պարբերաբար ելույթներ կլինեն: Փոքր երկիր, լեռների մեջ, Ադրբեջանի և Թուրքիայի միջև, ոչ մի հեռանկար, ոչ մի տնտեսություն: Այնտեղ արդեն միլիոն հայ է մնացել: Իսկ ողջ աշխարհում նրանք 6 միլիոն են: Բոլորը փախել են. Լիբանան, Իրան, Ռուսաստան, Ֆրանսիա, Միացյալ Նահանգներ: Այնտեղ ապրելու տեղ չկա, լեռներ են: Հետ կվերցնենք բազան: Այդ բազան նրանց փրկություն ն է, այլապես նրանց կվերացնեն թուրքերն ու ադրբեջանցիները: Այդ իսկ պատճառով Հայաստանի համար պետք չէ անհանգստանալ: Ադրբեջանն անմիջապես կգրավի Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը, իսկ թուրքերը նրանց կօգնեն»:
