Ռիո դե Ժանեյրոյում 2016 թվականի ամառային Օլիմպիական խաղերի բացման արարողությանը ներկա կլինեն պետությունների ու կառավարությունների 45 ղեկավարներ, տեղեկացնում Է«Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով «Ֆրանսպրես» գործակալությանը:
Արարողությունն օգոստոսի 5-ին կկայանա «Մարականա» մարզադաշտում: Հաղորդվում Է, որ 45 թիվը հուլիսի վերջին հրապարակվել Էր Բրազիլիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Ժոզե Սերրայի կողմից, բայց պաշտոնապես չԷր հայտնվում անվտանգության նկատառումներով:
Պեկինի 2008 թվականի Խաղերի բացման արարողությանը ներկա են եղել պետությունների ու կառավարությունների առնվազն 80 ղեկավարներ, Լոնդոնի 2012 թվականի Խաղերին՝ 69, Սոչիի 2014 թվականի Խաղերին՝ 50:
Ավելի վաղ հաղորդվել է, որ լատինամերիկյան պետություններից Խաղերի բացման արարողությանն իրենց ներկայությունն արդեն հաստատել են Արգենտինայի եւ Պարագվայի նախագահները: Չինաստանը 2016-ի Օլիմպիադա կուղարկի միայն փոխվարչապետի, չնայած Բրազիլիայի հետ ունեցած սերտ առեւտրական հարաբերություններին: Եվրոպական պետությունների ղեկավարներից կմասնակցեն Գերմանիայի, Ֆրանսիայի եւ Պորտուգալիայի նախագահները:

Հուլիսի 25-ին Վլադիմիր Պուտինի մամուլի քարտուղար Դմիտրի Պեսկովը հայտարարել է, որ Ռուսաստանի նախագահը չի պլանավորում մասնակցել Օլիմպիադայի բացմանը, որն օգոստոսի 5-ին կայանալու է «Մարականա» մարզադաշտում:
31-րդ ամառային Օլիմպիական խաղերը տեղի կունենան օգոստոսի 5-ից մինչեւ 21-ը, հաղորդել է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
