Ռուս-թուրքական հարաբերությունները շատ մեծ նշանակություն ունեն տարածաշրջանի համար, որում այդ երկրները որոշակի դեր են խաղում, հայտնել է Թայյիփ Էրդողանը, տեղեկացնում է «ՌԻԱ Նովոստին»:
Նրա խոսքով, Թուրքիայի եւ Ռուսաստանի միջեւ տեղի է ունեցել «ինքնաթիռի հետ կապված տհաճ միջադեպ, եւ դրա բացասական հետեւանքները մոտ ութ ամիս են տեւել»: «Հետո մենք նամակ գրեցինք, առաջարկեցինք դադարեցնել այդ գործընթացը, որովհետեւ Թուրքիայի եւ Ռուսաստանի հարաբերությունները շատ մեծ հետաքրքրություն են ներկայացնում տարածաշրջանի համար: Այդ պատճառով տարածաշրջանի երկու որոշիչ պետությունների միջեւ խզումը ճիշտ չէ: Խնդիրն անհրաժեշտ է լուծել: Բացի այդ, մենք ափսոսանք հայտնեցինք տեղի ունեցածի կապակցությամբ եւ դրական պատասխան ստացանք», — նշել է թուրք առաջնորդը TRT հեռուստաալիքին տված հարցազրույցում:
