«Իսլամական պետություն» խմբավորումն ստանձնել է օգոստոսի 6-ին Բելգիայի Շարլերուա քաղաքում ոստիկանների վրա մաչետեով հարձակման պատասխանատվությունը, հաղորդում է AFP-ը՝ հղում անելով իսլամիստների հետ կապ ունեցող Amaq գործակալությանը։
Օգոստոսի 7-ին դատախազությունը հայտնել է, որ հարձակվողը 33-ամյա ալժիրցի է եղել, սակայն նրա անունը չի բացահայտվում։
Նշվում է, որ ավելի վաղ ոստիկանությունը տղամարդուն հսկողության տակ է վերցրել ահաբեկչության հետ կապ չունեցող հանցգործությունների պատճառով։ Բելգիայի իշխանությունները հայտարարել են, որ հարձակումը դիտարկվում է որպես ահաբեկչական ակտ։
Հիշեցնենք, որ օգոստոսի 6-ին Բելգիայի Շարլերուա քաղաքում տղամարդը մաչետեով վիրավորել է ոստիկանության երկու աշխատակցի։ Ականատեսների խոսքերով՝ այդ ընթացքում նա վանկարկել է «Ալլահու Աքբար» արտահայտությունը։ Նրանցից մեկին հաջողվել է կրակել տղամարդու վրա, ինչի արդյունքում վերջինս մահացել է հիվանդանոցում։
