Հանրապետական կուսակցությունից ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահության թեկնածու Դոնալդ Թրամփը վրդովմունք է առաջացրել` իրեն երկիմաստ մեկնաբանություններ թույլ տալով նախընտրական արշավում իր մրցակցուհու` Դեմոկրատական կուսակցությունից թեկնածու Հիլարի Քլինթոնի հասցեին, գրում է  DW-ն: 

Խոսելով Քլինթոնին վերագրվող մտադրության մասին`  «ըստ էության» փոխել ամերիկացիների զենք ունենալու իրավունքը   (այսպես կոչված «երկրորդ փոփոխությունը»), նա հայտնել է, որ եթե   իր մրցակցուհին նախագահի պաշտոնում դատավորներ ընտրելու իրավունք ունենա, «դրա դեմ, տղերք, դուք ոչինչ չեք անի»: «Չնայած «երկրորդ փոփոխության մարդիկ» գուցեեւ կարողանան, չգիտեմ», - հավելել է Թրամփը: ԶԼՄ-ներում քաղաքական գործչի այդ խոսքերն ընկալվել են որպես զենքի կիրառության օգտին ելույթ: Օրինակ,  դեմոկրատներից ԱՄՆ-ի ներկայացուցիչների պալատի անդամ Դեւիդ Չիչիլլինեն Թրամփի արտահայտությունները բնութագրել է որպես զզվելի:  Կամ Թրամփը զինված ապստամբության կոչ է անում, կամ էլ իր մրցակցուհու սպանության, Twitter-ում գրել է Չիչիլլինեն:

Հետագայում Թրամփը ստիպված է եղել Twitter-ի իր միկրոբլոգում բացատրել, որ Քլինթոնին սպանելու կոչ չի արել: «ԶԼՄ-ները հուսահատ քայլեր են անում` ուշադրությունը շեղելու նրանից, որ Քլինթոնը Երկրորդ փոփոխության դեմ է հանդես գալիս: Ես ասել եմ, որ փոփոխության կողմնակիցները պետք է կազմակերպվեն եւ քվեարկեն` փրկելու մեր սահմանադրությունը», - գրել է միլիարդատերը, հայտնում է  BBC-ն:
