Այսօր Ռիոյի Oլիմպիական խաղերում կայացան հայ երկու բռնցքամարտիկների մեկնարկային ելույթները։ Արամ Ավագյանը և Հովհաննես Բաչկովը հաղթանակներ տոնեցին իրենց առաջին մենամարտերում և անցան հաջորդ փուլ։ Տղաների մենամարտերից հետո հավաքականի գլխավոր մարզիչ Կարեն Աղամալյանն ասաց, որ ամեն ինչ լավ է և Բաչկովն իրեն շատ լավ է զգում, հաջորդ մենամարտն էլ է հաղթելու․
«Նրանք երկուս էլ ռինգ դուրս կգան ամսի 14-ին։ Ես չէի սպասում, որ Արամի մրցակիցը խորամանկ է, սակայն առաջին ռաունդում պարտվելուց հետո Արամին հաջողվեց հաղթել։ Նա իր դիպուկության հաշվին պարտության մատնեց ճապոնացուն 2-1 հաշվով: Տեսաք, որ Հովհաննեսը շատ ուժեղ հարված ստացավ, սակայն վերականգնվեց, ամբողջությամբ հավաքվեց և կամքի ուժի ու փորձի հաշվին կարողացավ հաղթել։ Բոլոր մրցակիցներին էլ շատ լավ ճանաչում ենք և կապ չունի, որ աշխարհի չեմպիոն են: Մեր տղերքը ոչ մեկից ոչնչով պակաս չեն»։
Այն հարցին թե արդյոք որոշիչ դեր ունի առանց սաղավարտերի մենամարտելը, Աղամալյանը պատասխանեց․ «Հիմնականում դա հանվել է շոուի համար, որպեսզի ավելի տեսարժան դառնան մենամարտերը, իսկ էական նշանակություն չունի սաղավարտով, թե առանց սաղավարտի միևնույն է վնասվածքներ ստանում են»։
