Այսօր հիվանդանոցում մահացավ հուլիսի 17-ին զինված խմբի կողմից ՊՊԾ գնդի վրա գրոհի ժամանակ հրազենային ծանր վնասվածքներ ստացած՝ ՊՊԾ գնդի հերթապահ ծառայության հերթապահի օգնական, ոստիկանության ավագ ենթասպա Գագիկ Մկրտչյանը:
Վնասվածքները որովայնի, կրծքավանդակի, ստորին վերջույթների շրջանում էին, բժիշկները չորս անգամ վիրահատել էին նրան, ամեն րոպեն պայքար էր նրա կյանքի համար, սակայն փրկել, ավաղ, չկարողացան:
Գագիկ Մկրտչյանը ոստիկանության համակրգ էր ընդունվել 1993 թ. նոյեմբերին, երբ վտանգված էր մեր երկիրը, և ոստիկանությունը պետությունն ու ժողովրդին պաշտպանում էր և՛ սահմաններին, և՛ երկրի ներսում: Այդ օրերին պայքարը կյանքի գին ուներ շատերի համար, իսկ ոստիկանի համար հանուն հայրենիքի և մարդու պայքարը կյանքի գին ունի բոլոր ժամանակներում:
Քառասունհինգ տարեկան էր Գագիկ Մկրտչյանը և իրեն վստահված պահակակետում, չնահանջելով ու չհանձնվելով կյանքը տվեց իր վեցամյա որդու համար, բոլորիս երեխաների համար, ողջ ժողովրդի համար:
Ցավն ահռելի է և միակ մխիթարությունը՝ որ ոստիկանության ավագ ենթասպա Գագիկ Մկրտչյանի գործը շարունակողներ կան ու լինելու են, ուրեմն անպարտելի ու աներեր է լինելու մեր երկիրը:
