Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության կարգավորմանն ուղղված բանակցությունների համար նոր փուլ կբացվի, եթե Ադրբեջանը հարգի հրադադարի պայմանագիրը, իսկ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղը միանա բանակցություններին: Ինչպես հաղորդում է«Արմենպրես»-ը, վկայակոչելով Ազատություն ռադիոկայանը, & nbsp;այս մասին Ֆրանսիայի խորհրդարանի էլեկտրոնային թերթին տված հարցազրույցում ասել է ԼՂՀ նախագահ Բակո Սահակյանը: «Ադրբեջանը պետք է կարողանա հրաժարվել  հայերի նկատմամբ իր ազգատյաց քաղաքականությունից, իր անհեռանկար արկածախնդրությունից և հանձն առնի հարգելու մյուս ժողովուրդների հիմնական ազատություններն ու իրավունքները», - ասել է Բակո Սահակյանը։

Նա ապրիլյան քառօրյա պատերազմը որակել է հայերի հանդեպ Ադրբեջանի «հայատյաց գաղափարախոսության և իշխանությունների բռնապետության արդյունք»։

Բակո Սահակյանն անդրադարձել է փոխզիջումների վերաբերյալ հարցին: Նա նշել է, որ Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության նման բարդ հակամարտությունները հնարավոր է կարգավորել միայն փոխզիջումների միջոցով:  Նրա խոսքով` ողջամիտ, իրավացի և համարժեք փոխզիջումներն անհրաժեշտ են: «Մենք պատրաստ ենք անել փոխզիջումներ, եթե դրանք չեն խաթարում մեր երկրի անվտանգությունը, եթե դրանք չեն հանդիսանում պատեհ առիթներ մեր հակառակորդի համար՝ մեզ վրա նոր հարձակումներ գործելու»,- ասել է ԼՂՀ նախագահը։

Անդրադառնալով միջազգային հանրության կողմից Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի ճանաչման հարցին և այդ ուղղությամբ արձանագրած հաջողություններին՝ Բակո Սահակյանը վստահություն է հայտնել, որ Ղարաբաղի ճանաչումը մոտ ապագայում շարունակվելու է ավելի մեծ հաջողությամբ՝ իր դրական հետևանքներն ունենալով Հարավային Կովկասի կայունության վրա։

«Օրինական է արդյոք աշխարհագրական մի տարածքում խմբված փոքրամասնության ինքնորոշման պահանջը» հարցին Բակո Սահակյանը պատասխանել է. - «Ինքնորոշման պահանջի իրավունք ունեն բոլոր ժողովուրդները, դա միջազգային իրավունքի հիմնական սկզբունքերից մեկն է։ Բայց այդ իրավունքը դառնում է հրամայական մի պարտականություն այն ժամանակ, երբ պետությունը, որին միացված է նա, չունի մի այլ ցանկություն, քան այդ ժողովրդին ոչնչացնելը»:
