Ռուսական կողմը Բաքվում ՌԴ քաղաքացի Մարատ Ուելդանով-Գալուստանի ձերբակալումը կամ նրան օժանդակություն ցուցաբերելու հարցը չի դիտարկում ազգային խնդիրների համատեքտում: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, նման հայտարարությամբ շաբաթական մամուլի ասուլիսի ընթացքում հանդես եկավ Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության արտաքին գործերի նախարարության պաշտոնական նե րկայացուցիչ Մարիա Զախարովան:

«Այդ մասին մենք մանրամասն պարզաբանումներ ենք տվել լրատվամիջոցներին: Այս հարցը մենք որևէ ազգային հիմքով չենք դիտարկում: Մեզ համար ՌԴ քաղաքացիներն ազգային հիմքով չեն բաժանվում»,- շեշտեց Զախարովան:

Նրա խոսքով` Ադրբեջանում ՌԴ դեսպանատան ներկայացուցիչները հանդիպել են Մարատ Ուելդանով-Գալուստանի հետ, սակայն վերջինս որևէ բողոք և հավելյալ ցանկություն չի ներկայացրել: Զախարովայի տեղեկացմամբ` Ադրբեջանում ՌԴ դիվանագիտական ներկայացուցչությունը մշտական կապ է պահում նրա փաստաբանի հետ:

Մարատ Ուելդանով-Գալուստյանին ձերբակալել էին հունիսի 9-ին Ադրբեջանի քրեական օրենսգրքի բավականին տարածված 234.4.3 հոդվածով, որը նախատեսում է պատիժ մեծ քանակությամբ թմրանյութերի անօրինական պատրաստման, արտադրության, ձեռքբերման, պահպանման, տեղափոխման համար: Ձերբակալվածի քույրը՝ Մարիանա Միրզոյանը, պնդում է, որ եղբորը կեղծ մեղադրանք է ներկայացված, եւ արդեն մեկ ու կես ամիս է՝ տեղեկություն չունեն եղբորից: Ավելի վաղ նա նաեւ տեղեկացրել էր, որ այդ ժամանակահատվածում Ադրբեջանում Ռուսաստանի դեսպանություը չի այցելել ձերբակալվածին:

Ավելի վաղ ՌԴ արտգործնախարարությունից «Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկացել էին, որ Ռուսաստանի քաղաքացու իրավունքների պաշտպանության ուղղությամբ համապատասխան քայլեր են ձեռնարկվում: «Մարատ Ուելդանով-Գալուստյանի, ինչպես նաեւ նմանատիպ այլ դեպքերում ձեռնարկում ենք միջազգային իրավունքի եւ երկկողմ համաձայնությունների շրջանակում Ռուսաստանի քաղաքացու օրենքով սահմանված իրավունքների պաշտպանությանն ուղղված միջոցներ՝ անկախ նրա ազգային պատկանելիությունից»,- ասված է տրամադրված պաշտոնական պարզաբանման մեջ:

Ադրբեջանում ՌԴ դեսպանության կողմից ձերբակալվածի քրոջը՝ Մարիանա Միրզոյանին հուլիսի 29-ին ուղարկված պատասխան նամակում, մասնավորապես նշված է, որ ՌԴ դեսպանատան ներկայացուցիչն այցելել է Մարատ Ուելդանով-Գալուստյանին:
