Դեմոկրատական կուսակցությունից ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահի թեկնածու Հիլարի Քլինթոնը երկրում իր ժողովրդականության ցուցանիշով ոչ մեծ առավելություն Է պահպանում հանրապետական մրցակից Դոնալդ Թրամփի նկատմամբ: Այդ մասին վկայում են համազգային նոր հարցման՝ օգոստոսի 18-ին հրապ արակված արդյունքները, հարցում, որն անցկացրել Է Pew հետազոտական կենտրոնը:
Վերջին տվյալների համաձայն՝ նոյեմբերին նշանակված ընտրություններում Քլինթոնի օգտին պատրաստ Է քվեարկել հարցվածների 41 տոկոսը, Թրամփի օգտին՝ 37 տոկոսը:
Սպիտակ տան համար պայքարում հետնապահների ժողովրդականությունը առաջվա պես ցածր Է: Այսպես, Լիբերտարիանական կուսակցության թեկնածու Հերի Ջոնսոնին աջակցում Է հարցվածների 10 տոկոսը, իսկ «կանաչներից» հավակնորդուհի Ջիլ Սթեյնին՝ 4 տոկոսը:
Ամերիկացի կանանց գրեթե կեսը (49 տոկոսը) պաշտպանում Է նախկին առաջին տիկնոջը, գործարարի կին կողմնակիցները կազմում են 30 տոկոս: Այդուհանդերձ, Թրամփի թեկնածության օգտին հանդես Է գալիս տղամարդկանց 45 տոկոսը, իսկ Քլինթնոնի օգտին՝ 33 տոկոսը: Վերջինս ժողովրդականություն Է վայելում նաեւ ամերիկյան բուհերի շրջանավարտների շրջանում՝ 59 տոկոս՝ ձեռնարկատիրոջ 21 տոկոսի դիմաց: Իսկ հանրապետականին աջակցում Է ԱՄՆ-ի բարձրագույն կրթություն չունեցող քաղաքացիների 41 տոկոսը, դեմոկրատներից թեկնածուի այս ցուցանիշը կազմում Է 36 տոկոս:
Երկրի բնակիչների կեսից ավելին (55 տոկոսը) այն կարծիքին Է, որ Թրամփը կդառնա «թույլ կամ ահավոր նախագահ»: Քլինթոնի մասին նման կարծիք ունի ամերիկացիների 45 տոկոսը, հարցվածների 31 տոկոսը կարծում Է, որ նախկին պետքարտուղարը կդառնա «լավ կամ հիանալի նախագահ», այս գնահատականը գործարարին տվել Է հարցվածների 27 տոկոսը: Մնացածները նշում են, որ թեկնածուներից յուրաքանչյուրն ընտրություններում հաղթելու դեպքում որեւԷ բանով չի առանձնանա:
Հարցվածներից Թրամփի կողմնակիցների 81 տոկոսը վստահ Էր, որ վերջին 50 տարում երկրում կյանքը վատացել Է, 11 տոկոսն այդ կարծիքին չԷ: Քլինթոնին աջակցողների 59 տոկոսի կարծիքով՝ ներկայում ԱՄՆ-ում ապրելն ավելի լավ Է, քան կես դար առաջ, դրան դեմ Է արտահայտվում 19 տոկոսը:
Հարցմանը, որն անցկացվել Է օգոստոսի 9-16-ը, մասնակցել են 2010 չափահաս ամերիկացիներ, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
