Պենտագոնը Սիրիայի նախագահ Բաշար Ասադի կառավարական ուժերին նախազգուշացրել է զերծ մնալ ԱՄՆ ուժերի և նրա դաշնակիցների մոտակայքում ռազմական գործողություններից Էլ Հասակա քաղաքում տեղի ունեցած միջադեպից հետո: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս մասին հայտնում է «Կոմերսանտ»-ը: «Մենք շատ ուշադիր ուսումնասիրում ենք դեպքերը, երբ կոալիցիայի ուժերը հայտնվում են ռիսկային իրավիճակներում, և մենք ունենք ինքնապաշտպանության իրավունք: Մենք հստակ հասկացնել ենք տվել, որ ԱՄՆ ռազմաօդային ուժերը սպառնալիքի դեպքում կպաշտպանեն ցամաքային ուժերին»,- ասել է Պենտագոնի մամուլի խոսնակ, կապիտան Ջեֆ Դեվիսը:
Ավելի վաղ երկու ամերիկյան F-22 Raptor կործանիչներ Էլ Հասակա քաղաքի օդային տարածքից հեռացրել են Սիրիայի ռազմաօդային ուժերի երկու մարտական ինքնաթիռներ: Նշվում է, որ սիրիական ինքնաթիռները ավիահարվածներ չեն հասցրել և ոչ մի գործողություն չեն իրականացրել, այլ պարզապես ցանկացել են անցնել քաղաքի օդային տարածքով: Սակայն ամերիկացի օդաչուները նրանց խնդրել են լքել տվյալ տարածքը:
Ավելի վաղ էլ հայտնի էր դարձել, որ Ռուսաստանը և ԱՄՆ-ն մոտակա ժամանակահատվածում կարող են համաձայնագիր ստորագրել, որով կհամակարգեն Ռուսաստանի պաշտպանության նախարարության և Պենտագոնի գործողությունները Սիրիայում:
