Տիեզերական վերելակը բացառապես ֆանտաստիկ կոնցեպցիայից աստիճանաբար վերածվում է իրական սարքի, որը գիտնականների կանխատեսումով կստեղծվի արդեն կես դար հետո: Տիեզերական վերելակի կոցեպցիան գիտնականների միջազգային խումբը քննարկելու է Սիեթլում կայանալիք գիտաժողովում, հայտնում է Planet-today–ը:
Միացյալ նահանգների, Կանադայի, Մեծ Բրիտանիայի ու Ճապոնիայի գիտնականները ծրագրում են քննարկել ոչ միայն միջերկյա ուղեծիր բեռներ հասցնելու ֆուտուրիստկան փոխադրամիջոցի ընդհանուր կոնցեպցիան, այլև դրա որոշակի նեղ մասնագիտական կողմերը: Այդ նորությունը տարածել է ՏԱՍՍ լրատվական գործակալությունը՝ վկայակոչելով գիտաժողովի նախագահԴեւիդ Հորնին:
