Իտալիայում մի խումբ ակտիվիստներ բողոքի ակցիա են սկսել մզկիթի շինարարության դեմ, որը կառուցվում է Սանտա Մարիա Ասունտա զանգակատան կողքին՝ առավել հայտնի Պիզայի աշտարակ անունով: Մզկիթի շինարարության հակառակորդներին դուր չի գալիս, որ մզկիթն այդքան մոտ է լինելու աշխարհահռչակ կառույցին, հայտնում է ամերիկյան Religion News Service կայքը:
Անցած հանգստյան օրերին նրանք բողոքի ակցիա են անցկացրել Պիզայում ու շինարարության դեմ 2 հազար ստորագրություն հավաքել: Նրանց կարծիքով այդքանը բավական է քաղաքի իշխանությունների որոշման վերանայման հարցով հանրաքվե անցկացնելու համար:
Պիզայի քաղաքապետ Մարկո Ֆիլիպեսկին իր կողմից պնդում է, որ մզկիթի կառուցման թույլատվությունը հիմնավորված է: «20 տարի շարունակ Պիզայի մուլուլմանները հավաքվում էին քաղաքի կենտրոնում գտնվող փոքրիկ մզկիթում, ու առայսօր ոչ մեկ դրան դեմ չէր արտահայտվել»- ասել է նա, հավելելով, որ մզկիթը կառուցվելու է բացառապես մասնավոր միջոցններով, հայտնում է «Ինտերֆաքսը»:
