Դեմոկրատական կուսակցությունից ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահի թեկնածու Հիլարի Քլինթոնն ամերիկացի ընտրողների շրջանում ժողովրդականության ցուցանիշով Էլ ավելի Է մեծացրել տարբերությունը նախընտրական արշավում իր հանրապետական մրցակից Դոնալդ Թրամփից: Այդ մասին վկայում են նոր համազգային հարցման՝ օգոստոսի 23-ին հրապարակված արդյունքները, որն Ipsos միջազգային սոցիոլոգիական կենտրոնն անցկացրել Է Reuters գործակալության հետ համատեղ:
Վերջին տվյալների համաձայն, որոնք ստացվել են օգոստոսի 18-ից մինչեւ 22-ն ընկած ժամանակաշրջանում, նոյեմբերին կայանալիք ընտրություններում Քլինթոնի օգտին պատրաստ Է իր ձայնը տալ հարցման մասնակիցների 45 տոկոսը, Թրամփին մտադիր Է աջակցել հարցվածների 33 տոկոսը: Եվս 22 տոկոսը դեռ չի որոշել, թե ում Է ընտրելու: Այսպիսով, նախկին պետքարտուղարը միլիարդատիրոջը գերազանցում Է 12 տոկոսով:
Մինչդեռ անցած շաբաթվա վերջին թեկնածուների միջեւ խզումը, Ipsos-ի եւ Reuters-ի տվյալների համաձայն, կազմում Էր 8 տոկոս: Ի պաշտպանություն Թրամփի արտահայտվել Էր մասնակիցների 34 տոկոսը, Քլինթոնի օգտին պատրաստ Էր քվեարկել հարցվածների 42 տոկոսը:
