Օգոստոսի 24-ին եւս մեկ թուրք բարձրաստիճան զինվորական է փախել Հունաստան, որտեղ քաղաքական ապաստան է խնդրել:

Այս մասին  հայտնում է հունական Antenna հեռուստաալիքը` նշելով, որ հնարավոր է` թուրք զինվորականը կասկածվում է հուլիսի 15-ին Թուրքիայում տեղի ունեցած ռազմական հեղաշրջման փորձին մասնակցության մեջ:

Նշվում է, որ Թուրքիայի քաղաքացի զինվորականը փոքրիկ նավակով հայտնվել է Սամոսա կղզու լողափերից մեկում, որտեղ նա հանձնվել է ոստիկանությանը եւ անմիջապես քաղաքական ապաստան խնդրել:

Թուրք զինվորականը կտրականապես ժխտում է, որ հուլիսի 15-ին մասնակցել է Թուրքիայի նախագահ Ռեջեփ Թայիփ Էրդողանին տապալելու փորձին: Սակայն, չհաստատված տեղեկատվության համաձայն, նա կարող է լինել հեղաշրջման ակտիվ մասնակիցներից մեկը եւ կեղծ փաստաթղթերի օգտագործմամբ թաքնվել է թուրքական իշխանություններից, հայտնել է հունական հեռուստաալիքը:

Թուրքական ԶԼՄ-ներն ավելի վաղ հայտնել են, որ տասնյակի հասնող թուրք բարձրաստիճան զինվորականներ ապաստան են խնդրել Հունաստանում եւ ԱՄՆ-ում, եւ հեղաշրջմանը մասնակից  Թուրքիայի զինված ուժերի հարյուրավոր զինծառայողներ փախել են Իրաք, որոնց մի մասը միացել է Քրդստանի աշխատավորական կուսակցության (PKK) զինյալներին:

«Թուրքիե գազեթեսի» թերթի փոխանցմամբ`  Թուրքիայի պաշտպանության նախարարության կայքը հայտնել է, որ պետական հեղաշրջման փորձից հետո որոշում է ընդունվել երկրի ԶՈւ կազմից պահուստ ուղարկել 586 գնդապետների:

Թուրքիայի պաշտպանության նախարար Ֆիքրի Իշըքը «Անատոլու» լրատվական գործակալությանը տված հարցազրույցում էլ հայտնել է, որ երկրի ԶՈւ-ն մաքրվել է դավաճանների մեծ մասից, որոնք մասնակից են ռազմական հեղաշրջման փորձին: Նրա խոսքով` Թուրքիայում տեղի ունեցած ռազմական հեղաշրջման փորձից հետո ձերբակալվել է 165 գեներալ, 6746 այլ բարձրաստիճան զինվորական, 4288 ոստիկանության աշխատակից, 19 նահանգապետ եւ այլ բարձրաստիճան պաշտոնյաներ:

Նա հավելել է, որ ներկա դրությամբ Թուրքիայի ԶՈւ շարքերից ազատված զինվորականների թիվը հասել է 3725 մարդու:

Թուրքական ԶԼՄ-ների համաձայն` ռազմական հեղաշրջման փորձի հետ կապված Թուրքիայի զինված ուժերից ներկա դրությամբ հեռացվել է անձնակազմի մոտ 1,5 տոկոսը:

Պաշտոնական տվյալներով` հուլիսի 28-ի դրությամբ Թուրքիայի ԶՈւ շարքերից հեռացվել է 149 գեներալ եւ ծովակալ: Բացի այդ, ձերբակալվել են նահանգապետի 63 օգնական, տեղական ինքնակառավարման մարմինների 46 ղեկավար, 7912 այլ պետական պաշտոնյաներ, տարբեր կառույցների քաղաքացիական աշխատողներ:

Թուրքիայում ռազմական հեղաշրջման փորձին մասնակցելու կամ աջակցելու մասով բացված քրեական գործով անցնում են 2245 զինվորական դատավոր եւ դատախազ, վճռաբեկ դատարանի 108 դատավոր, պետական խորհրդի (բարձրագույն վարչական դատական մարմին) 41 անդամ, սահմանադրական դատարանի, դատավորների եւ փաստաբանների բարձրագույն խորհրդի 7 անդամներ:
