80-ամյա ծերունին նստած էր բազմոցին՝ բարձրագույն կրթություն ստացած իր 45-ամյա որդու հետ: Հանկարծ պատուհանագոգին մի ագռավ նստեց:
Հայրը հարցրեց որդուն.
- Ի՞նչ է սա:
- Սա ագռավ է, - պատասխանեց որդին:
Մի քանի րոպե անց հայրը նորից հարցրեց.
- Ի՞նչ է սա:
- Հայրիկ, ես հենց նոր քեզ ասացի: Սա ագռավ է, - պատասխանեց որդին:
Որոշ ժամանակ անց հայրը երրորդ անգամ հարցրեց.
- Ի՞նչ է սա:
Այս անգամ որդին պատասխանեց մի փոքր բարձր տոնով, արդեն նյարդայնացած:
- Սա ագռավ է, ագռա՛վ:
Հայրը չորրորդ անգամ է հարցնում որդուն:
- Ի՞նչ է սա:
Այս անգամ որդին բղավում է հոր վրա:
- Ինչու՞ ես ինձ անընդհատ նույն բանը հարցնում, այն դեպքում, երբ քեզ հազար անգամ ասացի արդեն՝ ՍԱ ԱԳՌԱՎ Է: Ի՞նչ է, անհասկանալի՞ է քեզ:
Հայրը վեր կացավ և գնաց իր սենյակ: Այնուհետև ետ վերադարձավ՝ հին, փոշոտ օրագրով, որը նա պահում էր որդու ծննդյան իսկ օրվանից: Նա բացեց օրագիրը և խնդրեց որդուն կարդալ, թե ինչ է այնտեղ գրված:
Երբ որդին նայեց առաջին էջին, տեսավ հետևյալ գրառումը.
«Այսօր իմ 3-ամյա որդին նստած էր ինձ հետ բազմոցին, երբ հանկարծ պատուհանին ագռավ նստեց: Որդիս 23 անգամ հարցրեց, թե ինչ է դա, և ես 23 անգամ պատասխանեցի, որ դա ագռավ է: Ամեն անգամ, երբ նա տալիս էր նույն հարցը, ես քնքշորեն գրկում էի նրան: Ես ընդհանրապես չէի նյարդայնանում, միմիայն քնքշանք՝ անմեղ երեխայիս հանդեպ»:
Երբ երեխան 23 անգամ հարցրել է. «Ի՞նչ է սա», հայրն ամենայն նրբությամբ պատասխանել է նրան 23 անգամ, իսկ երբ հայրը որդուն տվեց նույն հարցը՝ ընդամենը 4 անգամ՝ որդին զայրույթ և վրդովմունք ցուցաբերեց:

Եթե Ձեր ծնողները հասել են ծերության տարիքի, ապա մի արհամարհեք նրանց և մի վերաբերվեք որպես բեռի: Հարգանքով խոսեք նրանց հետ, հանգստություն պահպանեք, լսեք նրանց, բարի եղեք: Հոգ տարեք Ձեր ծնողների մասին:
Այսօրվանից հաճախ ինքներդ ձեզ բարձրաձայն ասեք. «Ես ցանկանում եմ ծնողներիս միշտ երջանիկ տեսնել: Նրանք հոգ են տարել իմ մասին ծնվածս օրվանից: Նրանք միշտ անխնա կերպով իրենց սերն են ինձ տվել: Նրանք սարեր ու ձորեր են անցել, հաշվի չեն առել բուքն ու շոգը և ոչինչ չեն խնայել՝ ինձ՝ հասարակության լիարժեք անդամ դարձնելու համար»:
Աղոթեք Աստծուն. «Ես կհետևեմ իմ ծեր ծնողներին՝ հավատով և սիրով: Ես նրանց միայն բարի և լավ խոսքեր կասեմ, ինչպես ժամանակին նրանք են ինձ ասել»:
