Նորաձևությունն արտահայտվելու մշակութային ձև է, երբեմն տեղ նաև իրականության արտացոլումը, որը երևում է պահելաձևի և հիմնականում հագուստի մեջ: Այն սահմանում է որոշակի կանոններ ` ինչպես շարժվել և հագնվել, երբեմն նաև ինչպես ապրել:
Կան շատ սովորություններ մարդկանց կյանքում, որ հայտնվում են երբեմն անհրաժեշտությունից ելնելով, իսկ երբեմն էլ զուտ նորաձևության թելադրանքով: Կար ժամանակ, երբ մեր երկրում ծխող կինը համարվում էր ազատ մտածելակերպի, նորաձևության, անկախության օրինակ: Թերևս ժամանակները փոխվել են:
Այժմ կինը ծխում է, որովհետև ունի դրա պահանջը, հաճելի է նրան այդ պրոցեսը և միայն շատ քիչ դեպքերում է, որ ծխում է, որովհետև այդպես «գլամուր» հասարակությունն իրեն առավել ջերմ կընդունի:
Նշենք, որ ՀՀ Առողջապահության ազգային ինստիտուտի տվյալներով Հայաստանում ծխում է տղամարդկանց 50 տոկոսը, կանանց՝ 8 տոկոսը, ընդ որում մայրաքաղաքում և Հայաստանի մարզերում ծխող կանանց թիվը տարբեր է, Երևանում այդ ցուցանիշը հասնում է 25–27 տոկոսի։
Ֆրանսիացի մարդաբան և ազգագրագետ Կլոդ Լևի Սթրոսը պնդում է, որ ծխելն օգնում է ամրապնդել անձնական հարաբերությունները մարդկանց հանրույթում և հաճախ որպես սոցիալական հարմարվողականության ինդիկատոր է ծառայում։ Հավանաբար Կլոդ Լևիի պնդմանը հետամմուտ լինելով չեն, որ սկսել են ծխել հայ մի քանի հայտնի կանայք: Միշտ չէ, որ նրանք խոստովանում են իրենց ծխախոտ օգտագործելու փաստը, սակայն տարատեսակ երկոների ընթացքում նրանց կարելի է տեսնել ծխելիս:
Ծխելը թողնելուց անմիջապես հետո 20 րոպեի ընթացքում ձեր արյան ճնշումը վերադառնում է բնականոն ռիթմի։ Մեկ տարվա ընթացքում սրտի նոպայի հավանականությունը կիսով չափ նվազում է։ Մասնագետները պնդում են, որ այն մարդիկ ովքեր կարողանում են թողնել նիկոտինային կախվածությունը հաջողակ կյանք ունենալու հավանականությունը նրանց մոտ մի քանի անգամ ավելի է մեծանում:
