Դեկտեմբերի 15-ին 182 տարի առաջ ծնվել է ֆրանսիացի ճարտարապետ Ալեքսանդր Գյուստավ Էյֆելը , ըստ նրա պրոյեկտի կառուցվեց՝ 1889 թվականին, հայտնի Փարիզյան աշտարակը և նրա պատվին կոչվեց ՝ Էյֆելյան աշտարակ:
Բուրջ Խալիֆա
Աշխարհի ամենաբարձր աշտարակը Բուրջ Խալիֆան է, որն գտնվում է Դուբայում: Կառուցվել է այն ի պատիվ նախագահ Մուհամմեդ բեն Ռաշեդա Ալի: Աշտարակի վերին հատվածում կառուցվեց հյուրանոց Արմանի:
Սիդնեի աշտարակը
Այս աշտարակը ամեբարձրն է Սիդնեյում: Այն աչքի չի ընկնում հատուկ գեղեցկությամբ, սակայն նրանից գեղեցիկ տեսարան է բացվում դեպի քաղաք: Աշտարակում են գտնվում ռեստորաններ, փոքր խանութներ և քաղաքը տեսնելու դահլիճ՝ 268 մետրի վրա:

Այն կառուցվել է 1922 թվականին Բրազիլիայում: Արձանը մի կողմից կառուցվել է լավ վայրում,իսկ մյուս կողմից ոչ: Լավ ընտրված վայր է, քանի որ գեղեցիկ տեսարան է, վատ, քանի որ հաճախ կայծակները հարվածում են այն:
