«Ժողովուրդ» թերթը գրում է. «Հուլիսի 17-ին ՀՀ ոստիկանության ՊՊԾ գնդի գրավման հայտնի իրադարձությունների ժամանակ ՀՀ իրավապահներին սխալ օպերատիվ տվյալներ են ներկայացվել: Ու հիմա ակտիվ քննարկվում է վարկածն այն մասին, որ իրավիճակը սխալ ներկայացնելու հետեւանքն են եղել հուլիսի 29-ի լույս 30-ի գիշերը Սարի թաղում ծավալված արյունալի իրադարձությունները:
«Ժողովուրդ»-ի հավաստի տեղեկություններով՝ բախումներից առաջ ՀՀ ոստիկանության եւ ԱԱԾ ղեկավարությանը զեկուցել են, թե իբր քարերով եւ փայտերով զինված ցուցարարների մի խումբ Սարի թաղի կողմից շարժվում է դեպի ՊՊԾ գնդի տարածք եւ պատրաստվում է ճեղքել ոստիկանական պատնեշն ու միավորվել «Սասնա ծռերին»: Այդ տեղեկության հիման վրա էլ հրահանգվել է Սարի թաղում հավաքված ցուցարարներին ամեն գնով ցրել:
«Ժողովուրդ»-ը փորձեց վերը բերված լուրի առնչությամբ մեկնաբանություն ստանալ ՀՀ ոստիկանության լրատվության վարչության պետ Աշոտ Ահարոնյանից: Ի պատասխան՝ նա ասաց. «Գործով քննություն է ընթանում, բոլոր հարցերի պատասխանը քննության ավարտից հետո»:
