«Մեր տեղեկություններով Գյումրիում Արթուր Բաղդասարյանի «Հայկական վերածնունդ» կուսակցության ավագանու ցուցակի չորրորդ հորիզոնականում գտնվող Ավետիս Առաքելյանը Գյումրիի նախկին քաղաքապետ Վարդան Ղուկասյանի փեսան է:
Գյումրիում ՀՎ-ի քաղաքապետի թեկնածու, պատգամավոր Հովհաննես Մաոգարյանը մեզ հետ հեռախոսազրույցում հաստատեց այս տեղեկությունը ասելով, թե Ավետիս Առաքելյանի հետ իրենք ընտանիքներով են մտերիմ։ Վերջինս վերջերս Է անդամակցել ՀՎ-ին և «Գազպրոմ Արմենիայում» ճարտարագետ– չափագետ է: Այդպիսով, արդեն բացահայտ Է դառնում, որ հոկտեմբերի 2-ի այդ ընտրություններին Վարդան Ղուկասյանն աշխատելու Է Հովհաննես Մարգարյանի և Հայկական վերածնունդի օգտին։ Մարգարյանը չհերքեց նաև այս հնարավորությունը։ «Ավետիսը քաղաքում ճանաչված տղա Է, երկու բուհ Է ավարտել, լավ իրավաբան Է։ Իսկ ինչ վերաբերում Է պաշտպանելուն, կսկսի քարոզարշավը, ամեն մարդ իր տեսակետը կհայտնի»,– ասաց նա»,–գրում է թերթը։
