«Երևի ոչ մի ազգ այդքան չի սիրում իր ժառանգներին՝ զավակներին ու թոռներին, ինչքան մենք՝ հայերս։ Բայց մեր սերը հաճախ խանգարում է նրանց լավ, պիտանի մարդ դառնալուն, ուրախ ու անկոմպլեքս մեծանալուն, իր տեղը կյանքում գտնելուն։ Մենք կամ «ջերմոցի բույսեր» ենք դաստիարակում, կամ աշխատելու, պայքարելու անընդունակ «փափկամորթներ»։ Երեկ սեպտեմբերի 1-ն էր։ Հավանաբար, աշխարհի ոչ մի երկրում այդ օրն այնքան նշանակալի, այնքան սպասված ու նախապատրաստված չէ, որքան Հայաստանում։ Չգիտեմ՝ աշխարհի էլ որ երկրում են կառավարության ղեկավարն ու նախագահը, իրենց թոռնիկների ձեռքը բռնած, տանում առաջին դասարան, կամ որտեղ են երեխայի ծննդից անմիջապես հետո սկսում ամբողջ ցեղով դպրոց ընտրել և, ի վերջո, թաղի դպրոցը թողած, 6-ամյա երեխային տանջելով՝ տասնյակ կիլոմետրեր են տանում, որ նա «էլիտար» դպրոց գնա։ Իսկ դպրոցն էլ՝ «անունը կա, ամանում չկա»։ Երեկվա լրահոսին հետևելիս մի հանգամանք էլ արձանագրեցի՝ մեր դպրոցներում սեպտեմբերի 1-ի հետ կապված ոչ մի նոր ավանդույթ այս տարիներին չի ծնվել, սովետական դպրոցի հանդեսներն են, տնօրենների ոչինչ չասող ելույթները, ուսուցիչների կեղծ ժպիտներն ու արհեստական միջավայրը»»,–գրում է թերթը։
