«Առավոտ» թերթն իր խմբագրականում գրում է. «Այսօր զուտ Ֆորմալ առումով, բացի ՀՀԿ–ից եւ ՀՅԴ-ից, բոլոր քաղաքական ուժերն ընդդիմադիր են։ Արդեն հիմա, երբ սպասվում են տեղական ինքնակառավարման ընտրությունները, նկատելի է այն միտումը, որը մշտապես կար մեր քաղաքական դաշտում։ Ընդդիմադիրները կենտրոնանում են ոչ այնքան իշխանությանը քննադատելու, որքան իրար «գաղտնիքները» բացահայտելու վրա։

Ավելի կոնկրետ ՝ քանի որ, ասենք, Գյումրիում եւ Վանաձորում, բացի իշխանության կուսակցությունից, ընտրություններին մասնակցելու են եւս 7-8 ընդդիմադիր կուսակցություններ, նրանք խնդիր ունեն ընտրողներին ապացուցելու, որ հենց իրենք են ամենաընդդիմադիրն ու ամենաարմատականը։ Իսկ այդ ցանկությունից անմիջականորեն բխում է այն թեզը, թե ընդդիմադիր մրցակիցները ոչ միայն արմատական չեն, այլեւ «գաղտնի գործարքների» մեջ են իշխանությունների հետ, դրանց «նախագիծն են», «հաճախորդն են, «դհոլը» եւ այլն։ Իհարկե, մի քանի ամսից, երբ մեկնարկի խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների պայքարը, այդ խոսակցությունները սաստկանալու են։ Բայց ՏԻՄ ընտրությունները «գլխավոր փորձ» են` նաեւ  այդ առումով։

Ինչ խոսք, կարող են լինել ե՛ւ «գործարքներ», ե՛ւ «նախագծեր»՝ դա աշխարհում ընդունված քաղաքական պրակտիկա է։ Բայց ընդդիմադիրները պետք է հաշվարկեն ՝ այն քարոզչական ռեսուրսը, որը ծախսվում է «դավադրություններ բացահայտելու» վրա, չարժե՞ արդյոք նպատակաուղղել իշխանություններին քննադատելու վրա, ընդդիմադիր գործընկերոջ վրա ցեխ շպրտելն արդյոք քեզ՝ ցեխ շպրտողից ճեփ-ճերմակ է թողնում: Եթե ընդդիմադիրները վերցնեն թղթի մի էջ, բաժանեն երկու մասի եւ թվարկեն իրար վրա «մատերիալ» գրելու օգուտներն ու վնասները, ապա, նրանք, կարծում եմ, հեշտությամբ կհամոզվեն, որ երկրորդ սյունակում ավելի շատ կետեր կլինեն»:
