ԱՄՆ-ում սկսվում է նախընտրական արշավի վերջին փուլը

ԱՄՆ-ում սեպտեմբերի 5-ին նշում են Աշխատանքի օրը: Այդ տոնը, որը համընկնում է սեպտեմբերի առաջին երկուշաբթի օրվան, Նյու Յորքի նահանգում «Արհմիությունների կենտրոնական միություն» եւ «Աշխատանքի ասպետներ» հասարակական կազմակերպությունների նախաձեռնությամբ սկսել են նշել 1980-ական թվականներին, իսկ 1984 թվականից ԱՄՆ-ի Կոնգրեսի որոշմամբ այն դարձել է համազգայի, տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը:
Աշխատանքի օրը նշանավորում է ամառային արձակուրդների տարեշրջանի ավարտը, ուսումնական տարվա սկիզբը, իսկ նախագահական ընտրությունների տարում՝ նախընտրական արշավի վերջին, ամենալարված փուլի սկսվելը:
Դեմոկրատական կուսակցությունից նախագահի պաշտոնի թեկնածու Հիլարի Քլինթոնը եզրագիծ է դուրս գալիս՝ առավելություն ունենալով իր մրցակցի՝ Հանրապետական կուսակցությունից նախագահի պաշտոնի թեկնածու Դոնալդ Թրամփի նկատմամբ: Աշխատանքի օրվա նախօրյակին USA Today թերթի ռւ Սաֆֆոլքի համալսարանի հետազոտական ծառայության կողմից անցկացված հարցման համաձայն՝ Քլինթոնին այժմ պատրաստ է աջակցել ընտրողների 48 տոկոսը, իսկ Թրամփին՝ 41 տոկոսը: 7 տոկոսի առավելությունը Քլինթոնը պահպանում է նաեւ այն դեպքում, եթե հարցման արդյունքներն ամփոփելիս հաշվի են առնվում նաեւ ախագահական ընտրարշավի երկու ակնհայտ հետնապահները՝ Լիբերտարիանական կուսակցության թեկնածու Գերի Ջոնսոնը եւ «կանաչների» թեկնածու Ջիլ Սթեյնը: USA Today-ի եւ Սաֆֆոլքի համալսարանի հարցման համաձայն՝ այս դեպքում Քլինթոնի օգտին պատրաստ է ձայն տալ ընտրողների 42 տոկոսը, Թրամփի օգտին՝ 35 տոկոսը, Ջոնսոնի օգտին՝ 9 տոկոսը եւ Սթեյնի օգտին՝ 4 տոկոսը:
Քլինթոնի առավելությունը, ճիշտ է, շատ ավելի փոքր, ցույց է տվել նաեւ Investor Business Daily ինտերնա-ռեսուրսի հարցումը. դեմոկրատների թկնածուին պաշտպանում է 44 տոկոսը, իսկ հանրապետականների թեկնածուին՝ 43 տոկոսը:
Մեկնաբանելով այս արդյունքները՝ հարցման կազմակերպիչները նշել են, որ «ինչպես Քլինթոնի, այնպես էլ Թրամփի կողմնակիցների մոտիվացիան պայմանավորված է ոչ այնքան իրենց թեկնածուի արժանքիներով, որքան այն բանի հետ կապված երկյուղներով, որ ընտրություններում հաղթանակ կտանի մրցակիցը»:
Այս պայմաններում ընտրարշավի երկու մասնակիցները, նախապատրաստվելով սեպտեմբերի 26-ին Նյու Յորքի նահանգի Հոֆստրա համալսարանում դեմ առ դեմ կայանալիք առաջին համազգային հեռուստաբանավեճերին, ջանքերը կենտրոնացրել են ոչ այնքան նոր նախաձեռնությունների առաջադրման, որքան մեկը մյուսի անզուսպ քննադատության վրա, հաղորդել է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
