Լոնդոնը Թեհրանում դեսպան է նշանակել հնգամյա ընդմիջումից հետո

Մեծ Բրիտանիան հնգամյա ընդմիջումից հետո նորից Իրանում դեսպան կունենա: Դեսպան է նշանակվել Թեհրանում Մեծ Բրիտանիայի գործերի ժամանակավոր հավատարմատար Նիկոլաս Հոփթոնը, հայտնում է «ՌԻԱ Նովոստին» վկայակոչելով բրիտանական ԱԳՆ-ն:
Նշանակումը տեղի է ունեցել Թեհրանում բրիտանական դիվանագիտական առաքելության աշխատանքի վերսկսումից մեկ տարի անց:
Նիկոլաս Հոփթոնը մինչ այդ եղել է Բրիտանիայի դեսպանը Կատարում, Եմենում, նաեւ ծառայել է Փարիզում ու Հռոմում՝ դիվանագիտական առաքելություններում, նշել են ԱԳՆ-ից:
2011-ին Թեհրանում Մեծ Բրիտանիայի դեսպանատունը ենթարկվել էր ցուցարարների հարձակմանը, որոնք բողոքում էին Իրանի դեմ արեւմտյան երկրների կողմից պատժամիջոցների ներդրման դեմ, որից հետո դեսպանատունը փակվել էր: Դրանից հետո Իրանը նույնպես փակել էր իր դիվանագիտական ներկայացուցչությունը Լոնդոնում:
Այդ ժամանակվանից ի վեր Իրանում Մեծ Բրիտանիայի շահերը ներկայացնում էր Շվեդիայի դեսպանատունը: Թեհրանում բրիտանական դիվանագիտական առաքելության աշխատանքը վերսկսվել էր միայն 2015-ի օգոստոսի 23-ին, անցած տարի նաեւ Իրանի դեսպանատունն էր բացվել Լոնդոնում:
