ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը սեպտեմբերի 5-ին ընդունել է պաշտոնական այցով Հայաստան ժամանած Վրաստանի վարչապետ Գիորգի Կվիրիկաշվիլիին:

Ինչպես  տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Հանրապետության Նախագահը ողջունել է հյուրին մեր երկրում և հույս հայտնել, որ նրա առաջին պաշտոնական այցը Երևան կնշանավորվի երկու բարեկամ ժողովուրդների միջև կապերի առավել սերտացմամբ և նոր խթան կհաղորդի միջպետական հարաբերություններին: Սերժ Սարգսյանը կարևորել է բարձր մակարդակի փոխայցելությունները, որոնք, ըստ նրա, լավ հնարավորություն են կառուցողական և ջերմ մթնոլորտում քննարկելո ւ հայ-վրացական օրակարգի հարցերը, նախանշելու փոխգործակցության նոր հնարավորություններ: Ընդգծելով, որ Հայաստանը և Վրաստանը ոչ միայն բարեկամ պետություններ են, այլև երկու ժողովուրդներին կապում են պատմականորեն ձևավորված բազմադարյա եղբայրական հարաբերությունները, որոնց Հայաստանում հոգատարությամբ են վերաբերում, Նախագահը նշել է, որ դրանք անհրաժեշտ է մշտապես զարգացնել ու ամրապնդել: Երկու երկրների միջև գոյություն ունեցող քաղաքական երկխոսության ներկայիս բարձր մակարդակը, Հանրապետության Նախագահի համոզմամբ, թույլ է տալիս երկկողմ հարաբերությունները բոլոր բնագավառներում ավելի խորացնել՝ հասցնելով որակապես նոր մակարդակի:

Շնորհակալություն հայտնելով ջերմ ընդունելության համար՝ վարչապետ Գիորգի Կվիրիկաշվիլին նշել է, որ ուրախ է գտնվել բարեկամ երկրում, որի հետ Վրաստանի հարաբերությունները դարավոր պատմություն ունեն, և վրացի ժողովուրդն ու վրացական կառավարությունը մեծ կարևորություն են տալիս այդ հարաբերությունների զարգացմանը: Գիորգի Կվիրիկաշվիլիի կարծիքով, երկու երկրների կառավարությունների միջև առկա փոխըմբռնումը, ինչպես նաև վերջին տարիների համագործակցության դինամիկան ու ակտիվ առևտրատնտեսական կապերը շատ լավ հիմք են ավելի ամրապնդելու հարաբերությունները ՝ լիարժեքորեն օգտագործելով առկա մեծ ներուժը:

Հայաստանի և Վրաստանի միջև ամուր բարեկամական կապերը, վարչապետ Կվիրիկաշվիլիի խոսքով, կարևոր են ինչպես Վրաստանի և Հայաստանի համար, այնպես էլ, ընդհանուր առմամբ, Հարավային Կովկասի կայունության տեսանկյունից: Այս համատեքստում Վրաստանի վարչապետը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել ՀՀ Նախագահին՝ երկկողմ հարաբերությունների զարգացման գործում մեծ ներդրման համար:

Հանդիպմանը զրուցակիցները քննարկել են փոխադարձ հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող մի շարք ոլորտներում համագործակցության ընդլայնման հնարավորություններն ու ներուժը:
