«ժողովուրդ» թերթը գրում է. «Երեւանի նախկին քաղաքապետ, «Հայռուսգազարդի» նախկին գլխավոր տնօրեն Կարեն Կարապետյանի ընտանիքի անդամները մերձավորների հետ զրույցներում ասում են, որ իրենց Կարապետյանն առաջիկա օրերին նշանակվելու է ՀՀ վարչապետ: Նույնիսկ նշանակման օրն է նշվում` սեպտեմբերի 21:
Ըստ լուրերի՝ այդ օրը Սերժ Սարգսյանը հայտարարելու է «Համաձայնության կառավարություն» ձեւավորելու եւ Կարեն Կարապետյանին վարչապետ նշանակելու մասին:
Մյուս կողմից կասկածներ կան, որ այս լուրերն ընդամենը խայծ են, եւ դրանց նպատակը Հայաստանի հասարակության տրամադրությունները շոշափելն է: Բանն այն է, որ Հայաստանում ստեղծված ծանր տնտեսական պայմաններում օդ ու ջրի պես հարկավոր է, որ հանրությունը դադարի մշտապես բացասական սպասումների մեջ ապրել:
Երեկ ողջ օրվա ընթացքում իշխանական աղբյուրներից «Ժողովուրդ» օրաթերթը չկարողացավ այս լուրերի իսկությունը պարզել: Բոլորը խորհրդավոր ակնարկներ էին անում` խորհուրդ տալով սպասել մինչեւ առաջիկա հինգշաբթի` կառավարության նիստին՞»:
