ՀՀԿ-ն վարչապետի պաշտոնում Կարեն Կարապետյանի թեկնածությունը երաշխավորել է՝ հաշվի առնելով տեղական ինքնակառավարման մարմիններում նրա աշխատանքի փորձը, էներգետիկ և տնտեսական ոլորտին քաջատեղյակ լինելու հանգամանքը և բնավորության որոշ գծեր, որոնք թույլ կտան առաջնորդել իրականացվելիք բարեփոխումները: ՀՀԿ ԳՄ և խորհրդի նիստերից հետո լրագրողների հետ հանդիպմանն այս մասին ասաց ՀՀԿ փոխնախագահ Արմեն Աշոտյանը:
«Հաշվի առնելով այս ամենը՝ ՀՀԿ-ն իր վստահության մանդատը տվել է Կարեն Կարապետյանին: Սահմանադրությամբ սահմանված ժամկետներում ձևավորվելու է նոր կառավարություն, որը մշակելու է և ԱԺ է ներկայացնելու կառավարության նոր ծրագիր: Ես վստահ եմ, որ մենք այդ ծրագրում մենք տեսնելու ենք ոչ միայն կարճաժամկետ խնդիրների լուծման տարբերակները, այլ նաև Հայաստանի երկարաժամկետ զարգացման հեռանկարները»,- նշեց Ա. Աշոտյանը:
Նա նաև հավելեց, որ ՀՀԿ ԳՄ և խորհրդի նիստերում ձևավորվելիք նոր կառավարության կազմը չի քննարկվել: «Ես կարող եմ ասել, որ կառավարման համակարգում լինելու են լուրջ փոփոխություններ, սակայն անուններ մենք չենք քննարկել: Կառավարության նոր կաբինետը ձևավորվելու է կոալիցիոն համաձայնագրի համատեքստում: Վստահ եմ, որ ձևավորվելու է մի թիմ, որն ունակ է լինելու համապատասխան ձևով արձագանքել առկա և առաջանալիք մարտահրավերներին»,- ասաց նա:
Հարցին՝ Կարեն Կարապետյանին առաջարկվե՞լ է անդամակցել ՀՀԿ-ին, Արմեն Աշոտյանը պատասխանեց. «Մենք նման հարց նիստերի ընթացքում չենք քննարկել: Եթե իմ անձնական կարծիքն եք ցանկանում իմանալ, ես կարծում եմ, որ մենք պետք է նրան ժամանակ տանք իր առջև դրված խնդիրները լուծելու համար: Այդ ընթացքում նա, ինչու ոչ, կարող է մտածել քաղաքական որոշումներ կայացնելու մասին»:
