Լրագրողները կարող են իրենց մասնագիտական գործունեության միջոցով նպաստել կոնկրետ խնդիրների լուծմանը: Բուլղարիայում ընթացող «Լրատվական գործակալությունների դերը ճգնաժամային իրավիճակներում» խորագիրը կրող համաժողովի ժամանակ նման կարծիք է հայտնել «Արմենպրես» լրատվական գործակալության տնօրեն Արամ Անանյանը, ով մասնակցոմ է Մերձսևծովյան ազգային լրատվական գործակալությունների տնօրենների գագաթնաժողովին:

Արամ Անանյանը, ով նախագահում էր Մերձսևծովյան ազգային լրատվական գործակալությունների ասոցիացիայի գլխավոր ասամբլեան, նշել է, որ վերջին երկու տարիներին աշխարհն էականորեն փոխվել է, և այն հնարավորությունները, որոնց առերեսվում է լրագրությունը, ևս փոխվել են: Կարևորելով լրատվական գործակալությունների համագործակցությունը` նա հիշեցրել է, որ «Շարլի Հեբդո»-ի վրա իրականացված հարձակման ժամանակ ասոցիացիան առաջիններից էր, որ արձագանքեց կատարվածին:

«Մենք` լրագրողներս, կարող ենք նպաստել խնդիրների լուծմանը, սակայն մեր հիմնական նպատակն անկողմնակալ լրատվություն տրամադրելն ու մարդու իրավունքները պաշտպանելն է»,- ասել է Անանյանը:

Հայաստանը Մերձսևծովյան ազգային լրատվական գործակալությունների ասոցիացիայի գլխավոր ասամբլեայի նախագահությունը հանձնել է Բուլղարիային: Որպես նախագահության արդյունքներից մեկը` ստորագրվել է համագործակցության հուշագիր Մերձսևծովյան ազգային լրատվական գործակալությունների ասոցիացիայի և Միջերկրածովյան լրատվական գործակալությունների ալյանսի միջև: Հայաստանի առաջարկով` համանման հուշագիր կստորագրվի նաև Բալկանյան լրատվական գործակալությունների ասոցիացիայի միջև:

Լրատվական գործակալությունների եվրոպական ալյանսի գլխավոր քարտուղար Էրիկ Նիլենը նշել է, որ եվրոպական ժողովրդավարությունն անկախ լրատվական գործակալությունների անհրաժեշտություն ունի, ուստի անհրաժեշտ է պայքարել այդ անկախության համար:

«Լրատվական գործակալությունների դերը ժգնաժամային իրավիճակներում» խորագիրը կրող համաժողովը մեկնարկել է սեպտեմբերի 7-ին և կշարունակվի մինչև սեպտեմբերի 11-ը:

Համաժողովի աշխատանքներն անցկացվում են Բուլղարիայի մայրաքաղաք Սոֆիայում և Նեսեբուր քաղաքում:
